    I used conductive paint on mine if ever needs returning to standard rubbing alcohol and cotton bud there's no sign it was ever done.

    Hello so you managed to get another FT891 😄, I didn’t have to solder mine I found out you can bridge the contacts and just reset the radio, then it works for 11m but if I reset the radio it will go back to normal, flip side is I keep the 3 year warranty.

      Yes picked up another ft891 was not going to wideband but as i do freeband why not lol didnt know you could just bridge them or i would of done that but i suppose i could return to standard if need be but have installed into my truck now so most proberly stay in the truck for now to enjoy radio at the same time while working

      Ah fair enough it’s rude not to great radio for the 11m, yep sure can be bridged took me a while to realise the PCB has a fine coat of lacquer, so had to scratch surface off a bit.. looking forward to part 2 👍

      So, you do that, and it gives you 11m? As well as EVERYTHING, or just opens up 11m? Does 11m show up on the band selection? Or do you go to 10m, or 12m and tune to it.
