    Thank you for the tutorial. it REALLY helped to understand and visualize how it works and I really like the different examples that you gave, it allows me to understand the intricacies and variations of the connections. Yes the focusing of the camera was glitchy (you should get a better camera for sure if you intend to keep making tutorials, which I think you should because you explain things well), but I am very thankful of all the time you spent making these videos for Tainted Grail. Great job!

    Beside the focus thing (I think it is better if you just left the cards on the table, they are readable actually) the sound is VERY low. I have turned up my laptop speakers to 100% and still struggling.

      I do solve this on later videos and I also plan to redo this video to bump up the quality across the board.

  • @UnCompress_
    @UnCompress_ Před 4 lety +4

    Little less on the so’s would be great and maybe set the focus of the camera to manual so you have a set point where you know the cards are readable. This will improve the quality of the video. I still would like to thank you for taking the time to explain the game.

    @19:07 you placed 1 cube in the damage pile, later you put 1 magic cube.
    But at the free one it says 2x.
    You put another 4 cubes, shouldnt it be 3 as you already placed one @19:07?

    when you start the second act of a diplomacy card, what happens with the played cards ? to you pick 3 new cars and continue the existing sequence ? or you remove all the played cards ? If so do you discard them or shuffle them back in the deck before picking new cards ?

    About the rules. in the 2nd chapter the setup say to shuffle in 2nd and 3rd "tier" encounters. but the storybook said we have to put down a 4th tier one. I don't remember the name, but it was a riot, or lynch mob or something. My question is that we ignore that encounter because it shouldn't be in play, or just follow the story book and fight against it? It almost killed 3 of us. In the 2nd chapter...

    Thanks for explaining....
    What happens when you take the „Breath of Wyrdness“ blue encounter card and you went into this encounter as a party ?
    Does every party member have to make the tests?
    What happens if one succeed and the other fails. Reward for the First and failure for the second?
    Regards Michael

    • @jinjoz42
      @jinjoz42  Před 4 lety +1

      So when you draw Breath of Wyrdness as a party, you would resolve it as a party. For part 1 it says 'roll a die and add your spirituality.' you would only roll one dice, and than add the highest value of spirituality among the people on the party. So let's say your character only has 1 spirituality but your teammate has 2, you would add two.
      And you either succeed together or fail together

    the game says you put basic diplomancy and encounter cards with advaced who are the basic and who are the advanced ones i cannot find any clue in the rulebook that says which is which.

    • @jinjoz42
      @jinjoz42  Před měsícem

      So the basic Diplomacy and Encounter cards are denoted by a small flag underneath the name of the card.
      The advanced combat and diplomacy cards do not have a flag under the name
      Then there are character specific combat and diplomacy cards which have the characters name at the top of the card

    How does one determine initiative/ sequence of attacks for multiplayer? You mentioned you were unsure but hoping you had figured it out now

    • @jinjoz42
      @jinjoz42  Před 4 lety +1

      So it goes like this (example is with 3 players vs an enemy)
      Player 1 plays there cards
      Enemy attack player 1
      Player 2 plays there cards
      Enemy attack player 2
      Player 3 plays there cards
      Enemy attacks player three.
      After everyone has gone once, everyone is than active again. You can switch up the order however you want. But it's important to know that Player 1 can't lay down anymore cards until all the other players and taken their turn

  • @grahamers
    @grahamers Před 4 lety

    You state that when you mulligan, you discard your three cards, draw two, then shuffle the three discarded cards into your combat deck. The rules as written do not state that you shuffle the cards back in. 1) Page 13 states that cards discarded during combat are NOT shuffled back in until combat ends. 2) the mulligan rule on page 14 states that you “discard” your hand if three cards and draw two. 3) nothing in the subsequent rules for combat discusses ever shuffling cards back in before combat ends.
    Is there an errata supporting your description? If so, you should mention that in your video. If not, it is a pretty good example of sloppy publishing that wastes a lot of people’s time and will cause many people to be playing with the wrong rules.

    • @jinjoz42
      @jinjoz42  Před 3 lety

      You are correct, you discard the cards you mulligan. That is a mistake on my part and i apologize. I plan on remaking these videos so they are more clear concise and I will make sure this is corrected and will be triple checking everything else in the future
