If no one votes for Putin, that is a huge signal for power structures in the country to change Putin to avoid a huge rebellion and to remain on power.
The combination of a failed war abroad and a brittle, strained system at home is increasing the likelihood of some sort of implosion inside Russia.

Russia needs to get its priorities right and spend the money wasted on sorting out its own infrastructure. If the known reserves of fuel are around 50 years, they need to start weaning themselves from relying on petroleum products

The big problem with Russia is that its such a huge country with a lot of old soviet infrastructure that at one point will fail since they won't have money to rebuild them. So damns, bridges, tunnels, even buildings and other infrastructure are undermaintained and due to repair already. Just go to any smaller (100k residents) russian city and you will understand what I am talking about.
