It helps to know why I feel the way I do 2 years after a crash. And I have been doing my best to maintain a straight neck and doing the therapy. But I still have gut issues and pain. But doing my best with what I have.

Hi Doctor, which nerve in the neck causes symptoms of esophagus muscle squeezing, difficulty swallowing, tension in the chest, mid stomach area muscle tension?

Can this cause the sinus node to push excess voltage? An EP study showed I have Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia and was medicine resistant. Sadly, I have a pacemaker after a sinus node modification that healed into a junctional escape rhythm. After still having issues even with the pacemaker, I found a specialist across the country. I have severe horizontal instability, atlantoaxial instability, atlantooccipital instability, bilateral impingement of the internal jugular veins from my C1 tubercles, and severe internal jugular vein stenosis on the left side. I have cranial cervical fusion at the end of May, but why isn’t this something all doctors know? I have been through hell. After ten years of complaining about my neck, the curve was reversing, and I don’t know how I am still alive. I have to get a glossopharyngeal block the day before surgery, but I get trigeminal nerve facial pain a lot. I have a mouth guard in to keep my face from hurting. I am hoping surgery resolves all of this. Hearing all this is so depressing. I had so many doctors dismiss my concerns.

Thank you, as always, Dr. H for your invaluable knowledge.
Is Bradycardia hereditary? My Mother, her father, myself, and my eldest brother (and now, my sons) have always had super low heart rate and blood pressure. At times so low, it FREAKS medical staff out! We do all have pretty bad hereditary kyphosis. Eldest brother has issues with vasovagal syncope, especially in regards to his eyes (like you mentioned), happened with the on set of a retinal detachment and then again after the surgery to repair it.

Can these pressures on the nerves and main arteries in the neck be seen on MRI? I need to make sure i have this but the symptoms seem extremely spot on for my unexplained problems..

Hi Samantha, Thanks for the question. Yes, it can cause pain and even burning or strange sensations of the tongue, and functional problems such as swallowing and speech difficulty. We've done some other videos on those topics in our vagus nerve and strange sensations playlists on our channel, if you want to do a deeper dive on the topic. Wish you all the best in health!

Hi Casper, we are so sorry that you are experiencing these symptoms. We have found that Prolotherapy can be a great treatment options for individuals with cervical instability and we would love to help you as well, at a minimum you'd have some answers and a proper diagnosis! We understand that travel is not feasible for all but if you find that you can make it to FL, please reach out to our office directly and someone from our clinical team can learn more about your case :) You are not alone!

Hello Dr Hauser. I am 66 old male who lives in Australia. I have slow heart beat (between 41-50 beats per minute at rest) mainly because I was a super fit long distance bicycle rider for 20 years.
I just wanted to know if prolotherapy can help with C4/C5 grade 1 retrolisthesis, C6 grade 1 spondylolisthesis and buckling of the ligamentum flavum. In the last 3 months I also got right ear tinnitus which is rather annoying.
How do you doctors identify where to inject and how effective is prolotherapy for my conditions? I would like to avoid a cervical fusion if possible. Thank you. Alfred
