Survivorman & Bushman Bob | Tonga | Les Stroud

- Starring Bushman Bob Stories of wrecked sailboats and lost sailors are as old as sea faring itself. Sailors have been lost, stranded, wrecked on reefs and crashed around in cyclones for centuries. Sadly, the story of Australian sailors Ian Thompson and Victorian Claus is one without a happy ending. Now, Les Stroud is tasked with reliving their South Pacific survival ordeal. Les strands himself on purpose, accompanied by his long-time survival buddy Bob Wilson, on a deserted island in the heart of the Kingdom of Tonga. They’ve grabbed ditch bags that contain a few survival items, but no fresh water, shelter or food. Les and Bob must rely on their extensive wilderness skills - and luck - if they hope to survive.
Directed by: Les Stroud
Starring: Les Stroud, Bob Wilson - Zábava
I could watch this show for the rest of my life. I have watched it since I was a teenager. Les Stroud is the true GOAT.
Same here man! This is the only show that doesn’t get old!
I hear you I could probably watch him for the rest of my life too.. LOL ha ha ha..
I've been watching this since I was at least 7. I remember seeing him kill and eat a snake in my first seen episode
@@jeremyscungio16 I've been watching for a while now.. he's a Rock lol 😂😆 ha ha ha..
...guy on a trampoline?
I wish Les would make more survivorman episodes. I would actually pay to watch them.
I’m certainly glad that he is making (or at least releasing) new episodes, but given his age and the stress doing these sorts of authentic survival shows can be, I wouldn’t be upset if he moved to doing shows like the foraging series he’s done with his chef friend recently or perhaps something like the show where he oversaw a bunch of teens doing survival challenges. I’m just honestly glad that he didn’t let that car crash put him off for good.
Survivorman was one of the few survival shows (along with Ray Meyers) who did a good job staying grounded and practical.
It didn’t have the stupid risks and bad advice of Bear Grills drinking his own pee or climbing down random holes in the middle of the dessert using a pair of logs. It didn’t have the sensationalism of Naked and Afraid. It didn’t have the behind the scenes drama of Dual Survival after the first few seasons. Or the stupidity of that short lived show where the hosts had a car to survive in (and an obnoxious driver who acted like a spoiled frat boy that wouldn’t listen to the survival expert). Survive This had some promising moments, but I feel like it focused too much on the hosts fooling around with one another. And I honestly barely remembered Man, Woman, Wild.
I'd like more with him and his son!
also more bigfoot episodes, would pay to see those as well
Ed Stafford seems promising. Too bad his shows on CZcams have to be so distorted to avoid copyright issues.
Wild Harvest sounds like a brilliant show with him in it. Its unfortunate it can't just be streamed online, finding a station or anything on t.v with that on it where I live? not a chance.
“We don’t talk much tonight , we just get down to business cause I lost my shit when bob blew up our lighter”- les
@Sage Niko Obviously this is a phishing scam, but who the fuck is wanting to hack THEIR OWN GIRLFRIENDS instagram account?

This man has had more of an impact on my view on nature and life than any other show. Nat Geo and BBC docs are beautiful but those places don’t look like that after 6 days of hunger and dodgy sleep
not really what he wants to do is make you scared ? just go out prepared with proper supplies.. and keep all this knowledge if worse case happens.
They absolutely do look like that. You just couldn’t care less.
Completely agree with you Paul 🤣 these other guys sure would be sorry if they got stuck in a survival situation
They look the same either way
@@voidlight6006 it's about having the proper respect and humility towards nature. You aren't in charge. Nature is. Keep that in mind and you won't go out unprepared.
That duo harmonica to send us off was incredible.
Bob seems like a super chill calm dude. Love him in the show too.
He is & dudes hilarious!!
This nail business might be the most hard-core shit I've seen Les do.
Just shows how real his episodes are and that stuff does go wrong even to him
it makes me cringe
I swear he did that one other time during some other episode and did the EXACT same thing lol
As a carpenter, this comes with the territory. I have to say I made a nervous laugh just before it went in. I know that pain and the relief that comes after the pressure is gone. In my truck is a tiny drill bit with tape on the end for just that occasion.
looked so painful
The misadventures of Les Stroud and his stalwart manservant Bumbling Bob.
Ol Bob came up clutch a few times!
I do love how les doesnt try and sell any survival stuff; he only preaches practice and posititve attitude. and three zones of assesment. thanks les for showing nature!!!!!
he literally has a deal with camillus selling a survival kit.
He’s actually sold loads of shit: survival kits, knives, shirts, books, and bobble heads. And the gear is junk too. I Love Les and don’t begrudge him a buck, but I wish he would have went the route of Ray Mears and sold less gear at a much higher quality and mark up.
@@KevinsDisobedience Ray Mears is the man! Bushcraft is a great series
@@livetopwn88 having a deal is different than talking about it in every video like "RAID SHAOW LEGENDS."

You and Bob jamming out at the end on the harmonica was just the icing on the cake. Bring Bob back on more often!
Best way to get stranded is with Les ☝🏾.
Worlds #1 survival expert in my opinion
I have a feeling though Les would be the first one kicked off survivor island lol ... Because he knows to much...
Facts
I don’t know. Poor Bob caught a lot of flack and he’s a survival expert in his own right. You might just get bitched at and made to look dumb the whole time. You might just end up pushing him of a cliff.
@@BluBarron if you insecure sure
I’m glad you called in the crew to re-locate you, because it shows that you want to show an authentic experience. You could have easily left that first night’s footage on the cutting room floor.
Les you should do two person survival more often, I loved this episode
He did some episodes with his son
@@slicko69ng yeah I liked those ones too
The problem is Les keeps losing bob in the bush because he wears camo.
@@baconthulu then he can choose someone else
@@baconthulu Which is why I put flagging tape all over myself if I wear camo, (army surplus cheap and effective).
Poking the fingernail with a hot hook and Bob's reaction about the pain had me laughing. A great survival partner, he looked intent on helping you but really there was nothing he could do.
The finger was the best most real life "reality TV" I have ever seen. Great job.
I love these Co-op episodes with Bob. Great friendship on display.
The friendship is real when Bob was trying to hide his laughing after Les did his little self surgery lol I laughed myself 😂
Too bad he edited out 90% of everything Bob probably said. This was a one-man show, with Bob in the background
@@DizzyDad He belongs in the background while calling himself a bushcrafter. Dude fucked up the basics of fire twice. He's your dude hanging out in a garage looking at his neighbors.
I love that satisfying moment when you actually have a certain piece of gear that you really need. “ I carried this crap for years now I finally get to use it”
Glad Les spared the Sea Cucumber. Another reason I appreciate him (and he's done similar things like it in the past)
'Come-on lol everyone who smokes knows that lighter trick lol haha 10:23 'still much respect.
When he said it was ingenious I felt awesome because I've been doing that since a young teen lol. Much respect from Ohio
I agree, it's common sense. Maybe Les was trying to build Bob up again, after having to give him a bit of a bollocking over the tinder.😟
@@jonser20cent68 dude I know lol, kinda made me nervous seeing Les agitated. But I think when trying to convey a serious message you need to kinda be stern. I think Bob thought the husks would catch flame but they are only good for keeping embers. Bob will be more diligent next time I get lol.
@@jonser20cent68 that's exactly what he was doing, cause the lighter "trick"? That's a pretty obvious thing to do
i definetly agree, i was using the "trick" while watching the episode actually even before that part and thought the same thing but i remember that i showed it to some other people who also had no clue

I say we need another dual survival episode with Les and Dave Canterbury!! 10 day survival
This but with Cody Lundin instead
Les is the reason why I love the outdoors. Ever since I was a kid in the late 90s early 2000s my parents would take us camping every weekend in the summer for the whole summer, and I’ve always used the knowledge you taught me for the outdoors. Thank you Les!!
It might be a good idea to thank your parents, without them you would not have gone camping. Just a thought. Your mileage may vary.
@@timothyprice9064 just let people be happy man lol

@@timothyprice9064 No you're right. He should thank his parents for taking them out camping every weekend, assuming he hasn't already. It created valuable core memories. You weren't raining on anybody's parade, just pointing out the fact that it is something to be grateful for.
@@prestonmitchell9135 You can be while thanking your parents, they will not be there forever. Thank them while you can.
Les Stroud is the best at what he does.i just wanted to say thanks for these amazing surviving adventures.
The only place that wouldn't matter is survivor island lol... He'd be the first gone...
When he used a nail to open his nail, I felt that
I used a cordless drill to drill through mine to relieve pressure once..it was god awful.
If your finger is really swelled up, it is easier and painless to go under the nail with a needle, and release the blood inside.
Man that self surgery looked painful but effective; he really nailed it 😉
...I'll see myself out.
Lol
😂😂😂😂
I see what you did there! 😁
I use to stay up just waiting for survivorman episodes to be released when i was in school now I'm just re watching it and its a throwback
"If you listen carefully, you'll hear the geese fly" - Bob Survivorman Season 3 Episode 4. Looks like the legend is back.
I just love that this episode perfectly shows the difference between a well rounded bushman/hunter vs. Les Stroud, the true survivorman and how there is still a huge gap in knowledge and capability... not saying that Bob is a noob, he is good but Les is just one of the best
He's just a guy that made an entertaining show definitely not one of the best it a show it not real
@oliewray8357 there's always one armchair champion with no clue what they're talking about putting down those who praise people for their skill. Les Stroud has proven his skill for decades. Members of the Bushcraft community that are on par with the best survivalists have repeatedly shown respect to Les and stated he's among the greatest of his time.
damn that was a hell of a dual harp jam at the end
@Stevey B ?
@Stevey B Yes but it's also slang for a harmonica some places, even though it doesn't make a lot of sense. There's also a completely different instrument that's often referred to as a mouth harp.
@Stevey Byes they are, but harmonicas are often reffered to as "harps" among blues musicians and others. Les and Bob play harmonicas together at the end and that is what i was referring too
Been watching these since early 2000’s and still to this day. Thanks Les for all the great content.
That was the first f bomb I ever heard you drop in all the years I’ve been watching you that was epic

This episode was awesome especially the last part of a duo on harmonicas we need more of that
Thank you so much for not only continuing to make new content of survivorman but also making it available to watch on here. Of course I’m still going to buy it on your site like all the rest but being able to watch it anytime anywhere is awesome.
adding a second body adds an amazing dynamic to this show man please do more! bushman bobs great! same with the ones with your kid.
Les and bob the best survival duo ever
You make Friday so much better with these, thank you!
Les is more alive and much happier when he is not alone. I know this sounds obvious, but I never really put much thought into it in the past. All of Les' content has tons of rewatchability.
He's said plenty of times that loneliness is one of the worst parts of survival, you can really tell the difference after seeing episodes where he's with someone

Mate Ma'a Tonga! 676 ! i served my lds mission in tonga so i loved seeing and watching this video ! nau fiefia i he taimi nau sio vitio koeni
What a legend Les is 👌
One of the best things about Les in my opinion as a 23 yr old who’s watched the show for a while, is his story telling. Makes everything compelling for sure
The harmonicas at the end tho, SHEEEEESH
I'm glad you spend time in my island. 😊
Damn Les that hot nail definitely went deep.... Ouch! Epic content as expected from the survivor man... and nice to see Bob is still around...🤙🤙🤙
Les, if you do another Australia episode. Would love SE NSW. Always wanted to see someone avoid the outback and try in the deceptively difficult SE NSW area where a lot of people die bushwalking in Oz because it's so deceptive.
Tassie would be an interesting one too - and I don't mean coastal - but interior - up towards Lake St Clair etc...
I think bushman Bob should have is own survival show
love watching 'finger-les stroud' and 'not-so bushman bob'!
Broooo! I’ve done that before with too much pressure and pushed into my flesh through my nail with a safety pin! I seriously felt your pain my friend.. it’s amazing the relief that comes when the pressure is gone.. love the videos Les, Stay wild bro
Honestly one of the best island survival episodes in a while, plus adding another person helped keep the learning curve going, on top of that? First hand survival first aid!
That part with the nail was the gnarliest thing I’ve ever seen.
I bet that hurt like a b word lol survivorman will forever be the best survival show I watched it so much when I was growing up that I bought it all on dvd lol
Great to see Bob's back. I still think that the original team episode you did with him was the inspiration for that hack show, Dual Survival.
Nice duet. About that finger: I did the same. Ouch, then I discovered that I could carefully drill a hole with the tip of my knife. Oh, the relief. Love your work. Happy trails.
I like how Les said "We made one mistake. WE didn't establish how long you planned to be gone and I thought what you were going to do would take much less time." It might seem like a small thing but especially in potentially high stress times it avoids saying "You messed this up" and turning it into an argument.
This is one of those shows I keep returning too and never tire of
When he did the nail thing, I nearly passed out, lol.
yea i cringed, lel
I know that hurt like hell.
Les, your shows help me get through some tough times. No word of a lie, theres something about the rawness, and simplicity of your work that helps me get "centered" spiritually. From one Canuck to another, i just wanted to show my appreciation. You never know whos lives you may change with what you do, man
Great notion of conserving resources, and not wasting the matches for a wetter more challenging fire start. The other big lesson is to minimize use of the machete by burning the coconuts. Add to that the dynamics of communication and coordinating the effort. Great lessons!

Thee amount of injury s Les had should of let Bob run the show !!!🍁😁✌️❤️
Best harmonica Duo ever.
Glad to see Bushman Bob's online presence. Been interested in his antics ever since the survivorman hunting/tree stand episode
Comanche Elders taught me. Heart feeds the head.
I love the thought of trying to survive, finding a trail out, and then saying nah that’s TOO EASY
I'm addicted to this show I love the vibes you're the goat les!
Bob! How you been?!? Great to see ya I always wondered if you two went on any other adventures. Thank you Les I’ve got all the DVD collections and been watching since the start. Keep up the amazing work, no other show comes close to what you do sir.
I love some bushman Bob lol whatching les teach him how to start a fire is a good reminder that some things may seem easy, but it still takes practice to keep those skills honed.
What better way to get paid $10 an hour while waiting for customers? Hahaha thank you, Les!!
As pretty much everyone else here, Les has been a huge part of my life since I can remeber. I've watched Survivorman for a good majority of my life. I'm happy that Les not only teaches useful things, but also conservation. He's opportunistic, but also knows when to NOT eat something because of the possible environmental impact he personally would be having on the land (or sea).
Bob could have his own show.
Nb, I'm pretty sure snakes are venomous, not poisonous ;)

A dead gassless lighter with the ferrocerium 'flint' is as valuable as a whole lighter. You can ignite with the sparks alone pocket lint or comparable bark or seed pod fuzz. You can slowly rotate the wheel and abrade a pile of flint that will light coarser tinder. Spark is spark.

That was beautiful French harm at the end. I spent 4 months on a tropics island without leccy, phone and roads 20yrs ago; though inhabited the locals taught us a lot on how to get by. This brought me right back.

I wonder how many camera's Les has gone through lol
@Jordan B ayee I know what you are talking about! 🤙
Love your stuff, Les. You're a legend. But if you keep referring to snakes as "poisonous" I may catapult myself into the sun.
Yes, he has said that many times very annoying. And that was a krait not a “Black Sea snake” and not even close to being the most venomous.
les knows the correct term is venomous, he claimed it's simply a habit. btw, all kraits and sea kraits (aside from only one species of sea krait) are highly venomous. there are species of both krait and sea krait listed on plenty of sources, including wikipedia, as being among the most venomous snakes in the world (with scientific data in wikipedia's case). plus, that wasn't a krait (genus Bungarus). it was a sea krait (genus Laticauda). ironically, he was still closer than you were to the correct snake. tldr: you don't know everything either.
^ directed at trent, not you adam
@@trentroberdeau6399 its a banded sea Krait. And it is still highly venomous. God forbid we allow the man some hyperbole while stopping his friend from taking a shot of neurotoxin lol Also it's not his focus to know snake species beyond, "I can eat that one, and that one will kill me". He's a survival expert, not necessarily a wildlife expert.
