- If there's one thing that every pilot needs, it's a good headset. This is a review of two headsets from my favorite brand--Clarity Aloft! My review is not sponsored...I just really love me some awesome headsets.

Hi everyone and welcome to my new CZcams channel...AlmostCaptainMorgan!
I'm a First Officer / airline pilot in the United States. I'm excited to share travel tips, what life is like as a pilot constantly on the road, advice on how to become a pilot yourself, and much more!

If you're looking for an awesome pair of sunglasses that fit nicely under headsets, are lightweight, and nearly indestructable....check out Flying Eyes Optics! I wear a pair on almost every flight to keep the sun out of my eyes (while looking pretty good, if I don't say so myself)!

From an old pilot who read many a Captain Len Morgan article you’re doing a great job and I think Captain Morgan would be proud of you.
Thanks for this review. As a former Cessna student pilot from over two decades ago we used to wear those big and bulky David Clarke headsets that will fit over your head while learning how to fly. Back in those days it used to cost at least $200. That was a great experience using it when I flew with my instructor. Good review presentation on these new headsets in the video.
Nice review, now Im leaning towards the first one!
Nice review thank you - As a student I hate the weight of my DC headset but I’ve always been concerned about the external noise not being blocked with a smaller headset. I’ll give these a try - Thx again!
Just the review I was looking for. I have completely worn out two classic Clarity Aloft headsets and need to order a new headset from someone today. Maybe a headset shouldn't wear out but I figure each one probably has 6000 hours on it, each has been repaired a couple of times and I abuse them by not using the carry case (just cram them in my bag) I completely understand the problem with the sagging mic and It sounds like they fixed the issue with the new version. Your review was very nicely done. Ordering from Clarity now.
Here from TikTok! You’re doing great Morgan!
Well done review
I love those picture portraits in the back
What’s up Morgan! Your biggest fan
Nice one thank you hello from New Zealand
Very useful video! I just ordered the Link and Big Ear custom molded earpiece adapters, have you personally had any noise or fitment issues with the standard foam plugs?
Thank you for the review! Great job! I just purchased the flex, and I have had similar issues, so I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one lol. Perhaps the biggest problem I have had is the location of the mic. I initially bought it so I could switch between the left and right side, but no matter which side I put it on, the cord always seems to rub against my collar, moving the mic up and down as I turn my head. I'm definitely thinking about exchanging it for the Pro Plus head set. As an FO, have you experienced this issue with the pro plus? In your opinion, do you think it is worth my while to exchange it?
Well one thing is clarity aloft headset are expensive like the bose, nice review 👍
get some custom molded ear plugs that work with the clarity aloft, super noise cancellation!!
What do u do if your headset fails?
Do u carry a spare or are there ones on the plane?
Are you still using it? You like it? Have you used the BOSE proflight series? Trying to decide which one to go from Uflymike.
I could watch you talking all day 😅😘.
Smart talented and amazingly gorgeous.
Love ❤This Woman
We should go fly a stinson, the Franklin out front of a fabric airframe is loud, I’ve tried a few, then I bought a family set of Bose A20’s
I'd love to try it out!! Maybe that will be the thing that makes me fall in love with the Bose A20s.
I was a pilot in the British royal airforce, sadly we couldn't choose
How annoying or difficult is it to string the cord around when you’re siting in the right seat? I’m an FO and am worried the cords will annoy me since I can’t swap the mic to the other side.
3yrs later… are they still your fav!? Deadlocked between clarity aloft and Bose A30s…
Absolute same situation!
@@chrisstr33tkng61 I went with clarity
Good morning, Do you ever fly into Buffalo New York ?
I like the light speeds over my ratty old Dave Clark’s 😂
666th like! My groundschool course included a pair of loaner "cans" (musicians get it) for some reason my military headset (integrated into the dual visor helmet) were single stripe and my instructor told me the radio wouldn't accept the input-jack. Just noticing how almost everything aviation related could be "taken" the wrong way, especially when talk is related to Cessnas wo restrooms and the odd "safe words" I have the plane.
Looking so gorgeous 🙃🙃
Dave Clarks or Bose other the ear for me
Though to beat the Bose ProFlight Series 2.
I know as a pilot it's probably harder to do long format videos vs shorts but I would definitely watch a longer "day in the life" vid.
Do you get reimbursed from the airline?
Her airline provides each pilot with a Telex ANR headset. The pilots are free to purchase something different if they prefer a different brand, as long as it is FAA approved, but the airline only pays for the Telex they issue.
But can you still hear ok with the clacker going off? Because I know how you fly =P
If it ain’t clackin’...
@@AlmostCaptainMorgan Fly it like a -200!
No love for the company Telex?
It makes a brief appearance in the beginning! It’s my backup headset. I don’t love the on-ear type. Maybe my ears are just too big!
Tik Tok brought me to your channel.
Well Almost Captain, You are absolutely Beautiful
I concur.
Agree
❤
She so cute
I would care if she had sweaty rings around her ears.
2:30 "they're not ANR... but they kind of are!"
No. they're not. ANR is technology built into the electronics. It's either there or it's not. You can say that it's good passive noise reduction, but it's not kind of ANR.
your pretty are u single😘
Almost captain , what most of the pilots of your airlines wear as a headset ?
Ty
Her airline has approximately 10,000 pilots, so it's hard to say what most of them wear. The airline issues them a Telex ANR headset, but whether or not most use it, or prefer to buy their own, would be hard to say.
