I was surprised to see a statue of Confucius at VIT Vellore Computer-Science block... Apparently a gift from a Chinese delegation... I did not see any other statue on the Campus, except this. The Management seems to display it with pride..

Confusious wisdom does make sense to our sanatana dharma ethos, we are far ahead of such teachings .
In Tamil we have Thirukural , which is a superior literature on " how to live " etiquette written 2000 years ago by the great scholar Thiruvalluvar.
Our society is matured enough that we never ever endure the communist idealism as a solo ruling philosophy so far. It is not suitable to us. Contemporary scenenrio of world peace does not augment the teachings offered by chinese , for they are not worth to do it .

The US and the west has these all over the planet. We are taught in English, Shakespeare etc. Both China and India are re-emerging supper powers and it is important that we learn about these ancient civilizations and their respective cultures in the coming years.

I don't see anything wrong with NDTV, it's better than having 100 news channel who sing the exact same song. Edit - I would say the same thing against it if almost all channels had been like NDTV.
