I've never made a base in The End before for a multitude of reasons. Whether it be the annoyance of the enderman, the lack of sleep, or the pain of pulling everything you need from a different dimension it was always something I never felt like doing until about two months ago when I felt like doing it. This project took an ungodly amount of time to complete because of the continual disappearance of all of my animals but.... In the end it turned out alright. I've never been much a fan of collecting mobs just to put them in teeny tiny boxes so I decided to make an aquarium/aviary/apiary for some of minecrafts lovely creatures. I would have added axolotls into the mix except then all the fish would be dead and that is not very fun at all. Maybe I'll do something with them in the future but for now I think I'm going to follow the nether brick road.

A pro tip to when you transport dolphins in the nether is to give them water breathing potions, it makes them unable to "reverse drown"

1:27 Hint: You can place sponges in the Nether to dry them. That way, you don't need to use any fuel to smelt them, plus you can save a lot of time.

the end result (hahahaha GET IT? ...i'll show myself out) is STUNNING. the amount of effort it took to build this was INSANE but it's so beautiful. and the techno tribute at the end :') i legit teared up.
Having data packs to keep exotic pets alive in the name of livening up a beautiful build is a perfectly fine idea! Again I’m always blown away by Hardcore builders and their crazy and always beautiful builds, this build has such a peaceful charm too it.

Im around 6 months too late. But about the dolphin problem. The dolphin ai in minecraft is really scuffed. If you walk/fly out of range of a dolphin, it's ai just dies. I.e, the dolphin stops moving underwater. And because the dolphin needs both air and water to survive in minecraft, the moment you fly away.. it just dies..
The only viable way is to put it in a one block bubble column, so it has both water and air. But thats probably why the dolphins kept disappearing when you flew away

Btw for anyone who wants to attempt this, I'd recommend covering up the end exit portal when doing any large scale exploding in the end to avoid griefing your spawnpoint

End exit portals are made of bedrock, man
Tnt and other entities go to the truespawn of the world, not your bed
this is useless since any non-player entity (which includes tnt) that goes through the portal gets teleported to 0,0

I've seen a lot of really cool End Bases but this is the first one I genuinely crave to have in my own game. The low ceiling is cool but I think it would've been cool to have a slightly higher roof with various sized trees. With a higher roof the bees may not have pathfound themselves to death in the water because they had more room to go up and away from it. I get not wanting to redesign the whole glass part though after all that work. Another amazing video though! I'm so glad the algorithm pushed you my way! Your builds have been phenomenal! Keep up the amazing work! I hope your passion for this game never dies!

It's crazy thinking minecraft youtubers started with lets plays that were barely edited and lasted much longer and they could barely make wheat farms. Now this man is putting like 100hours into a 20 minute video where he builds things more impressive then everything i have ever built on all my minecraft worlds combined. THEN edits the beautifully and puts them out for us. Gotta love this guy

As much as i love Minecraft, I don’t actually watch anyone play anymore because it all seems to be catered to really young kids but I find your videos to be really fascinating
Okay, but apart from how incredibly impressive and beatiful this is, I just wanna point out how much I love that the bees are pride flags (am gay and trans) and that you used a lot of Chopin and Dvořák's No. 9, 4th movement as your music. Chopin is literally my favourite composer (I play piano myself) and Dvořák's symphony is my favourite of all symphonies across all the composers (especially the 4th movement)! So I had extra much fun listening to all my favourite classical music🥰
Also I have to add that I'm pretty sure the music in the showing-the-outcome part is not Debussy. The piece is absolutely beautiful, don't get me wrong, but this is far too modern and Debussy's Rêverie has a different melody, too, so I don't even think it's a modernised or remixed version🤔

I have a feeling that the dolphins are ending up going through the End gateways, since their really weird hitboxes mean that they can touch the gateways through the trapdoors. In which case the immortal dolphins will probably still go through and then fall off the destination and drop into the void eternally, unable to die.

You can place sponges in the nether to dry them instantly. Just make a flat area in the nether (or just go on the roof) and spam those babies. Should be a bit quicker than waiting for them all to smelt in a furnace

I've also run across The Bee Issue. (A friend insisted on a bee farm on their base. Their base was at a lagoon island.)
Had to learn a command that let me make bees assigned to specific nests immortal if they weren't yet, named or not.
For the named dolphins I learned they keep vanishing so I just made a command block hidden away and when they despawned I'd go boop a button and spawn in fresh ones at specific coordinates if they didn't have a dolphin with their name around.
Also learned that in 1.16.5 they would drown because they prioritize chasing objects over breathing so I developed an instinctivee reaction to chase dolphins that made the item pickup noise just "WHAT'S IN YOUR MOUTH LEAVE IT".
