yes you can. The things that change are your crop and f-stop. It's 1.5x what would be on a full frame. So for instance if the lens is on 24mm, it would have a crop of a 35mm (36 to be exact) and if the aperture is 2.8 then it would be an equivalent 4.2 depth of field. Hope that helps.
