There's a bit of misinformation in your video. The reason Paul George and Eric Bledsoe didn't come to Cleveland was that LeBron refused to sign an extension. They were ready to execute the Kyrie trade, along with their 1st round pick, but LeBron didn't want to cede any control over his long-term prospects. Also, LeBron didn't carry any team. George Hill, Rodney Hood, Larry Nance Jr., and Jordan Clarkson all did better in the respective teams before the trade. The reason it appeared that LeBron had to carry them was that the Cleveland system is designed that way--i.e. the LeBron System. LeBron James is a parasite, and when he finishes extracting the life-force out of a team (e.g. Miami and Cleveland,) he moves on to another host, which unfortunately is the L.A. Lakers. LeBron James is a more skillful and talented version of Russell Westbrook, but their playing styles are the same, which is to be expected when playing for small market teams like Cleveland and Oklahoma City who are all but desperate to keep star players. Why were the Cleveland Cavaliers unable to hold onto LeBron James? Simple--for lack of a better term, Lebron James is a ho--as it relates to basketball of course (nothing personal.) And shrewd men know that you can't hold onto a ho.

This is literally one of my favorite channels regarding basketball because Dom always states facts that I never think of. He’s right, the Cavs winning the championship was both the best and worst things to happen. I like Lebron but his GM skills leave a lot to be desired.... he fell in love with tristian thompson and JR smith. He shouldve let them walk and created cap space to get younger players. The cap spiked after they won the championship, so they couldve given $25-30 million to better players.

Thinking back, it was probably more of a punishment to Dan Gilbert. He wanted Gilbert to spend money the 2nd time around. Definitely not the best way, but Shumpert got paid. J. R. got paid. Tristan got paid. It wasn't about overpaying one player because LeBron fell in love with bad players. It was because Dan said "we'll win a championship before you." After years without paying anybody else in the first stint.

If I heard you correctly Dom, the first time around management really messed up. The second time around LeBron superimposed himself and forced them to pay role players that turned out to be worth less than previously thought and once cap space was locked up in historical margins making it difficult for the team to add pieces LeBron left.
