That does sound better than half of the other wayside crossing horns I've heard ultimately though I hate quiet zones and I hate those things trains need to be heard coming they're too quiet nowadays
The only advantage with these Waze side horns is if the horns stop working and the flashing X goes blank is when the engineer has the right to blow the horn at the crossing?
@@TexasRailfan21-RailfanRyanthat is not true trains can blow their beautiful train horns in the stupid quiet zones the stupid flashing X doesn’t stop the train from blowing their beautiful train horns especially stupid quiet zones are very dangerous and people get killed and causes deaths.
How wayside horns should sound: they shouldn't

They should change bells to mechanical bells
This is better
Because it sounds like a charger
Agreed
i went there before, i found out that you are right about the horns, these guys sound like a beautiful k5la!
That wayside horn sounds like an Amtrak K5HL
Amtrak doesn't use K5HLs
I meant to say K5LA
I wonder if this slightly quieter version on the Wayside will catch on in other parts of the US
@Bigmindcreator TS it’s the San Clemente one
There’s one in Colorado. Used for the extended r line I think, for rtd.
I remember you running into the one on Pent Highway in Wallingford.
I would honestly prefer straight quiet as in just the train bell
K5LLA wayside horn is my favorite
They replaced the signals to Lindsay and Siemens signals
That engine is a Siemens SC-44 Charger
They should put mechanical bells
La fox rd UP Geneva sub has left the chat
This is the Hartford line style wayside horns
Just like the ones on Pent Highway in Wallingford CT
Stupid annoying wayside horns 👎😡. I prefer the sound of the beautiful train horns 😀😌👍.
