Wayside Horns At Railroad Crossings - Compilation Video

- Railroad crossing compilation video of grade crossings with wayside electronic horn systems. These are installed at quiet zone crossings but not at all. Most quiet zone crossings don't have wayside horns. Wayside horns are disliked by many railfans.
The "X" above wayside horns alert train crews that they are functioning by having a fast pace pulsating flash. The "X" deactivates while a train is passing to dissable the system while a train is passing. Sometimes they malfunction and the horn blows while the train is passing through but also some are set to sound till crossing gates start rising. If the "X" isn't flashing at all and off when the crossing isn't active or activated it means something is wrong with the wayside horn system. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Im excited to see this one
Honestly Wayside Horn Is Way Better Than Quiet Zone!
y'all can thank me for wanting a railroad crossing compilation like this lol
Well I actually planned to make this compilation but waited until I went to Texas and the videos were published from there so I can use them also in the compilation. This was one of the compilation I waited to do for a few months.
Nice!
I live in Houston and i See trains in surgar land ALL the time! I love it!
Nice video! I really don't like wayside horns, but luckily there are almost none in my area.
I knew most of the crossings would be the BNSF ones in Escalon & the crossings you filmed in Texas!
What I also found out is, if the X isn’t flashing at all, the engineer is required to blow the horn on the locomotive at the crossing
The engineer can still blow their beautiful train horns in the stupid quiet zones if they want.
@@GTFilms3636 it’s interesting that steam engines have to blow in quiet zone regardless because they don’t have ditch lights I recall when big boy 4014 came to Texas in 2021 in Fort Worth. He blew at all the quiet zone crossings, and I soon learned that’s actually a regulation anything that predates an engine that has ditch lights has to blow in quiet zones.
@@TexasRailfan21-RailfanRyan oh
@@GTFilms3636 yep I’m surprised that no one has complained about something that you wouldn’t hear very often the rare sound of an steam locomotive’s whistle
@@TexasRailfan21-RailfanRyan oh yeah 😀
Those bad boys sound really cool, specifically Sugarland's
I find the wayside horns very annoying
i hope theres a warbonnet here
same
Great video!
Nice
Well if I had to pick a wayside Id have to say the one here with a deeper tone sounds a tad better than the flatter one of texas, but not by much
My dad loves trains
What about San Clemente
I'm personally not a fan of these things, considering how unrealistic most of them sound. It's REALLY annoying when they don't shut off either.
0:14 0:15 those are my favriote horns
The horns go off before the crossing activates. That’s not how it is in DeKalb IL
Right By Urban Air Adventure Park
It would've been nice if we had wayside horns for quiet zone crossings in Anaheim.
That first clip what is Highway 90 ALT Sugarland it’s right in front of dynamic fitness
Wayside Horn: There’s the train! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!
The one at Yosemite st is probably the best RS3L imitation. Not scratchy at all
Mchenry Avenue is not a scratchy horb
The first one sounds like the Los Angeles Kings goal horn
Train: I have to escape!
The wayside horns in Texas sounds weird for some reason
They don’t sound werid, Texas has different wayside horns.
Oh thanks for reminding me
The horn rooooooooooooar
1:48 I find these wayside horns annoying, their low pitch sound is the thing that annoys me most. The rest of the wayside horns, I love.
sounds like a K3LA
Ths is lke the toy train hrns quieter thn the train itself smewht
They are not cool. They are just sirens.
I really really really HATE wayside horns
It's Way Better Than Quiet Zone!
