    I'm glad this video is out here because my 922 failed after 6 years of happy use through college and grad school. I got the dreaded b200 error and now going to replace the print head. They don't make them like the 922 anymore - duplex scanning, great color dpi. I hope mine continues to serve my business for years to come.

      This so so true! I looked to see what was available, dreading if replacing the print head after getting the dreaded B200 error, and I was not impressed. I was really dreading the loss of this great printer, and so glad I was able to resolve the issue. I hope my printer lasts for many more years. Mine is also about 6 years old and this was the first issue I have ever had with it. And the problem was caused by me, not the printer. I simply let it sit too long without printing anything and the print head got clogged with dried ink. Unfortunately when I tried to manually clean the print head, I damaged it and it would no longer work. $20 on Amazon for a refurbished print head and this video restored my printer to like new!

    Thank you so much for this video. I was struggling trying to figure out how to remove the print head on my printer so I could replace it, as I had let the printer sit too long and the print head was clogged beyond repair. I purchased a replacement print head and used these instructions to install it, and now my printer works like new. This is my third Canon Pixma printer and my favorite one so far. I was really not wanting to replace it, so I am so grateful I was able to fix it myself using this video as my guide.

    Very clear and useful video.
    BTW: for all the complaints about this printer, mine has lasted well, without any issues for over seven years. Until recently when I got the dreaded B200 error and hence needing this video. My experience with HP printers and especially their drivers has been MUCH worse. YMMV.

    So you will need to replace the print head to clear the B2 hundred air because there’s other things you can try to fix that be 200 air like for example, turn the printer off then open the document cover in the cover let the print head move to where it’s not touching the right or the left then shut the ink cover, and the document cover with the printer boot up and done

    i'm getting error message 1403 and it won't clear no matter how many times I take it out and put it back. I have also tried a hard reset and that isn't helping either. Saying I'm frustrated is putting it mildly.

      Make sure the print head is installed. If it's already installed, try reseating it. Refer to reseat or replace the print head for help.
      If the error continues even after reseating the print head, the print head may be damaged and the printer will require service.
      There are two options currently available to you.

    • @CanonUSASupport
      @CanonUSASupport  Před 2 lety

      Hi! Your PIXMA MX922 requires that all five cartridges be installed and have at least some ink within them for the printer to function. A missing cartridge or an empty cartridge will result in an error message. You can order ink cartridges anytime at canon.us/3zho4TE
      Hope this helps!

    Take the best advice on printers you will ever get, DON'T ever purchase a Canon printer, ESPECIALLY the MX922. It is the most overprices and problem riddled printer you can get for the money. Every time you try and print it takes 10 minutes of making the loudest noises (that's on quiet mode too lol) and it prints..okay. Too many issues with this printer to list. However, I finally found a video that showed me how to take care of everything. It was a simple procedure. You take the printer outside, lay on the ground, and repeatedly smash the evil thing with a sledgehammer. It's amazing how many of the same complaints you find about this exact model, more so than anything product I've come across less the 1980s Yugo cars.
    BTW-if you are getting a camera than I couldn't recommend Canon enough, but the last brand I'd recommend for a printer.

      Why would you reply with this when you're completely lying? Nobody will help you there. Canons CS has always been awful. My advice, search online like you did to get to this page. I cleaned the printing heads for hours, but still not working, o well, I carry on

      I could not disagree more. My MX922 has been absolutely solid in printing for some years, and has been a lifesaver with its scanning ability. I've used Canon products since the mid-1970s, and I might have had one problematic product. Might. Almost 50 years of solid products and customer support is all one can ask for. Please note that I've taken the time to learn how these products work, and that they work at all is an absolute miracle.

    • @johnnyvegas5681
      @johnnyvegas5681 Před 2 lety

      @@mkelley9849 that is great! You are amongst the 10%. I think Canon does makes amazing products, just not printers. Maybe if you tried different brand printers you would be even happier. However, do the research on the MX922. You are the fortunate minority. You must have more patience being able to wait 3x longer or more for your MX922 to do its thing for those very loud few mins it takes thinking for everyone else.

      @@johnnyvegas5681 The secret to the MC922 is this: Never Turn It Off. (Sorry, Canon. And, yes, Canon never ever should have put this product, or any other product, on the market that takes 10 minutes to get ready to print a single page. That's insane!) But, for me, leaving the printer on all the time means that when I sit down and click print, I get printing started in about 30 seconds or so sometimes less, sometimes more. It seems that there may be a circuit that monitors internal temperature, and once that temperature is low enough, it has to go through this torturous warm-up process, but I beat that horse to death.
      As it turns out, this conversation is coinciding with a new problem on having where alternating lines are printing normal and then bold and then back to normal. I'm going to try to clean the timing strip according to this website to see what happens.
