Yamaha DT 250 startup after 10 years!

I am trying to get the classic 2 stroke Yamaha DT250 up and running after being stood up at my workshop for 10 years, the bike was a garage find and bought by my dad in 1996 so we both had a field bike to use. So it's been in the family for 27 years! After cleaning out the carby and freeing up the throttle she fires up with some fresh petrol. What to do next with the Yamaha?

@@Meadowcrafting CHECK THE RIMS THERE SHOULD BE SOME STAMPED NUMBERS, IT SHOULD TEL U THE YEAR.

I have looked into getting it registered to use on the road but need some info from Yamaha regarding the build year, etc. I have been riding it around the farm, i need to make a decision about what to do next!
