Personally i see it as them trying to make fun of games like overwatch. tyhe whole saints row games are nothing more then satire and parody of other games like hero games, GTA, and team base competitive shooters.
this game is essentially one of the endings to Gat out of hell, the 'reboot' ending.

So Steeltoe is the anti-Cyborg. No not the Justice league movie one. No not the Teen titans cartoon one. DEFINITELY NOT THE TITANS GO ONE. No the original one from New Teen Titans who wanted to be human again after ending up as a cyborg. Then he transcended and lost the humanity he held so dear. till Beastboy snapped out him out of it.

I'm confused, if this is connected to Saints Row, how come it doesn't have the same title? it has nothing like "Saints Row 5" or anything related to that. Is this like some kind of prequel? I am clearly not a Saints Row fan by the way.
Basically it's a "what if" timeline if what led to the rise of the Third Street Saints never happened. The complicated version is that this is the outcome of one of the endings of the Gat out of Hell expansion for 4 that resulted in the world being remade differently.
