What an amazing day!!! I dream of one day taking a trip there. I really enjoy Chianti Classico, and it's definitely one of my favorite wines. Thank you for your inspiration.
Gorgeous area to visit, even if only on the road! The heart of Italian winemaking, truly. Heads up though about bistecca alla Fiorentina - it's not a cheap treat, especially at a restaurant!
Yes, it was a very beautiful place. Quite - not always, as there are roosters singing every morning, but that is completely different sound than noise of the city and people. 🤷♀️
Another wonderful video. Totally with you on popping into the city for a bit then retreating to nature. And that steak! Cooked to perfection (for my taste). Kinda jealous, not gonna lie. haha. 👩🍳🥩🍷
It was really good, though more difficult to cook (than what was I expecting). Also to my taste is rare, but I don’t think at the restaurant they would cook any other way - I haven’t seen well done to be served ever! 😅
Great tour! I just disagree about the winery visit. I always prefer small producers. Garage wines. I love when the winemaker stops whatever he's doing and explain me in details all about his business. I feel I'm special! lol
Hahaha, yes, that is lovely. But not all small wineries and will do that. There are winemakers who prefer the company of their vines over the company of guests. And I also respect them. 🍷
@@fabiomacedo1681I love to support the little guys. I got the chance to visit wineries in Champagne and Montepulciano back in March and the majority of them were small wineries with one having a palace yet still a small winery.
Great video! Thanks so much for getting those shots of the spectacular architecture at the Antinori winery. That was amazing! I have a non-related wine question if you have the time. I'm still pretty new to wine, and recently have been reading a bit about Amarone della Valpolicella and how it's often called a "meditation wine" because some people prefer to drink it without pairing it with food. How do you decide when a wine is best appreciated by itself instead of paired with food? Thanks so much!
Thank You for Your comment, yes that winery is truly epic. Regarding the wines and food - for me great majority of wines will be good for food. They have the acidity, sooner or later one will feel the need to at least snack. And it also depends on each person- if You feel like You want to have a food with wine - great, if not, also good! 🍷 Cheers!
Thank You! 🙏🏻🙏🏻 It was during the hottest period of the year - July. I usually don’t travel during July, but this time it was the only available time for a vacation. 🙌
Research; life on the road: tough work! Thanks for the great content. We have travelled to Chianti recently, via a bottle...can deliver some great value for money.
Never made a bistecca alla fiorentina myself, but if you want to cook large meats over fire/coals then you have to flip it constantly, like every 30-40 seconds. It's a difficult process and takes some time to master.Just judging from what i've seen. Yours was overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside. Practice makes perfect and well done you for trying. Very adventurous.
imo, it would be hard to do on a grill that small even with constant flipping. The sear was probably fine but without a usable indirect heat zone on the grill it's a tall ask for a cut that thick. I'm not really a rare steak kinda guy but I'd have had some.
It was cooked very good! Any bistecca at the restaurant would be served similarly. I also haven’t seen a single chef doing the flipping - I am not sure it is correct. But I am no chef! 🤷♀️

Good to see you on the road again 😊
Ehh, this is just from the summer! 🥂
Nailed it! All that is great about Chianti in one video. Grazie mille!!
Thank You! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Nitardi seems amazing, the property that is, I hope to get there someday. I’ve had several of their wines….just lovely and beautiful labels.
Yes, they have always been closely linked with the world of art, and that translates into their wines, labels and the interior. ☺️
OMG that Osteria Il Re Gallo 😭😍
Epic, yes! Reservation is a must! 🍷
Looks great Agnes.....You did a great job cooking the bistecca!!!!!
Thank You! It wasn’t easy task though. 😕

Nice video. Longing for the summer now. ) And drinking Chianti Classico in Tuscany, just with a good pasta or pizza.
Yes, indeed. I am currently in the middle of winter with 50cm of ❄️! Summer would be nice, but seasons are great as well!😎

Chianti is a very ancient wine. it is of Etruscan origin. at the time it was called clanti
