To me he is expressing the amount of suffering happening to people across the globe especially in the middle east. He is expressing how fortunate he is to be where he is but also completely fucked up because there is nothing he can do. He feels as though there is no point because we are all doomed anyway but also continuing to exist because he has found some kind of meaning to sustain him. Think in metaphors.

I was listening to this song on a walk with my dog, an early Misty summer morning, we played in the long grass, rolling around play fighting. When the dust settled we sat for a minute and just appreciated what we had, I took a selfie of us but then I deleted it because it was our time. Our moment. Not to be shared with anyone else.
Two years ago someone commented "There’s never been a more fitting time for this song than now...", all i can say is... Here we go again and wonder who will say the same thing two years from now.
