Ravens are smarter than most people give them credit for, they are cunning like foxes and hunt in packs, but yeah, this looks like a European magpie.

You can’t do anything about ravens, other than offering shelter to the small birds. If you kill the raven, more will come. And once the babies fledge, there is nothing you can do to protect them.
It didn’t get in though. The reason people make nest boxes deeper is to prevent cats from grabbing chicks. Crows are unable to get into cavity nesting boxes, but woodpeckers will hammer their way inside. Corvids are usually only a threat to open boxes like robin boxes or spotted flycatcher boxes
