I have to say, I've been a hairstylist for 30 plus years, and when I was your age curly hair was not embraced as it is now and we didn't know how to properly treat it. We tried out best though with the limited information out there but mostly blew our hair out. Once more information came I embraced it and used it to show others that we can all wear our natural curls. I saw huge differences and was very happy. But then as you age your hair can change and behave differently. This started happening to me and my roots started to believe they were wavy rather than curly and lie flat against my head. No matter what I did they just wouldn't curl up. Drove me crazy. But now I have changed how I style it using only 2 of your tips and it has fixed the problem. I'm so relieved that I don't have to live a life of flat roots as I love volume. Thank you for all of this advice and these wonderful videos 🙂
Dante, what 2 tips helped? i'm in the same boat, my fine curly hair has started limply laying against my head now that i'm aging. getting covid made it worse as i lost a lot of hair. i used to think my hair was too big and thick when i was younger, and i'd kill for that volume now!
@@eponai Hover diffusing and vertical brush clumping. Both now keep my roots volumized. I was afraid I would have to spend 30 minutes using the brush method on small sections every time I washed, but now I take vertical sections and brush them up and it takes minutes. Then I hover diffuse and my volume is locked in. I’m so relieved lol
@@DanteVelasquez YES! vertical sections are the way to go. i don't have the patience for curl-by-curl brushing. :) glad it is working for you! i hover diffuse with my head upside down and that seems to help.
