  • n This video I build A cheek end (wall end) on an abandoned walling project in Harrogate North Yorkshire.
The wall in question was built by another team of wallers and left as seen in the beginning of this video. (I had nothing to do with the wall behind it)
I was also asked to fill each corse and put a concrete pad under the wall to avoid any maintenance in the future.
From what I can gather the owner was going to build a wall up the middle of his garden but ended up getting a fence instead so wanted a cheek and building with some Yorkshire stone flags on top for some plant pots.

Probably worth checking out some of my other videos in the section that says just dry stone. Ohh and read the page description 🤷‍♂️

@@DryStoneTom yeah. You do know what is likely to happen with you fill the inside of a wall with muck??.

@@lukedecol1505 I’ve had no problems with any of my previous work over the years using this method but do tell

@@DryStoneTom can cause serious frost damage as the wall can't breathe. Basically on a wall like this it's not needed. You know that mate

@@lukedecol1505 absolutely it didn’t have to have cement in it and I know what your saying but I’ve done it for a long time and not had a problem as yet.
