  • The deer-hair expert Andreas Andersson ties one of his famous flies for big trophy trouts - the (UN) Holy Diver in a white olive version. This fly can do the trick for big trouts - and off course predators in general. The movement in the water is caused by the articulated body and the shape of the head made with belly deer-hair. Have a look at the vice of one of the best in business and get tips and tricks.
    Tight lines and happy tying

True professional! Everything laid out, very methodical, no wasted steps. Awesome designer too. Excellent tutorial, thank you. Any underwater footage like his Delivery Man to see it swim?

A masterpiece by a true artisan. The sparse use of materials amazes me. Great work & tutorial. Love the jazz & r/b background music.👍

Damn...you make that look so....EASY! I don't know how you get the reverse ties so well distributed so quickly. And...LOVE the magnet to hold the trailer hook out of the way. Why didn't I think of that? No more bloody articulated flies!!! :)

Great tie , my favorite in the past few years tying articulating streamers . AKs book is a must have if you intend to tie a lot of flies :-)

Production fly tying by AK Best , great book but remember it’s from 1989 but still pertinent today . The best book in my opinion on fly tying is The Fly Tiers Benchside Reference to techniques and dressing by Ted Leeson and Schollmyer absolutely must have . Have fun :-)

What size are the hooks and the shanks? I don’t tie with shanks often but after seeing this video I can’t miss out on tying this streamer! Awesome fly pattern and color combo!

Great bug! Would it be possible to move the material list to the description instead of flashing it up for a few seconds at the beginning of the video? It would be so much more useful...

Actually, no it's not. I made it myself and have been using them for many years.. I think I got the idea from AK Best's book Production Fly Tying (which was published in 1989). However its still a very good and practical idea that helps both speed and consistency but its certainly not new.
2 pieces of wood, some sturdy foam with cuts and some epoxy..paint or varnish if desired. Done.
      All the best/ Andreas

@@a13andersson thank you for correcting me! I thought it was a great idea too when I saw it on your table, for the very reasons I mentioned in my first comment on the tutorial. The next day I saw a review of new tying products and a prep station by Hareline was featured, similar to yours. That's why I jumped the gun and told Brendan Haren what I thought it was...
Sorry, I guess I got excited after seeing Chicone's name mentioned on a product, seeing you use something similar in a video, and reading about both of you in the last chapter of Mike Valla's Tying & Fishing Bucktails. I admire and respect all three of you guys for you tying skills and knowledge of the sport.
So for my original question, any footage of this (Un) Holy Diver in action?
All the best to you and thanks!

Love the design and precision, can't stand craft fur due to its low durability. Regardless, ace tying!
