Great video sir! Machining is a hard learning curve. The mistakes made were minor and common. Parts are salvageable, so no worries. On final assembly, make sure to put holes in your shims for the screws to pass thru, so that the plate torques flat. Shimming between fasteners leads to chasing problems and headaches. Keep up the great work!
Not going to lie, part of me thought I might just get away with the shims between the fasteners. But you are the voice of reason, I should take the time to sort it properly or regret it later.
