I feel like Kang will return at a later time. Marvel isn't throwing that character away. Things will cool down, Majors will get his life & career back on track, then Disney/Marvel will come knocking with an offer he can't refuse. It'll be a HUGE comeback story.

Idk why the interviewer was going at him so hard. RDJ's career tanked YEARS AGO because of his drug issues/arrest, and it took him years to get a second chance, and that second chance didn't come until he did Iron Man. Before that no one was hiring him. This thing with Majors just happened last year. It's gonna take time before he gets something else. Same thing with Johnny Depp. His trial was live, he was found innocent, but he hasn't gotten a major role since, and dude's doing projects in France cuz it's the only thing he can get.
Majors will get another chance. Him losing out on Kang is not the "be all end all" of his damn career. He'll continue acting.

Majors is "good," but he hasn't reached that status yet, imo. But he definitely had support from the fans, myself included. Also, he's already working on a project. It may not be some "huge theatrical movie" but he still got something, and it's sooner than anyone expected. Like I said, his career is not "over".
Johnny may feel that way now, with just working on his music. But it doesn't change the fact that no one's hiring him. He may be a "great man and actor" but his trial also revealed he was/still is an alcoholic. He's not "retired" he's "frowned upon" at best. But *when the time comes* he'll be back to acting. Now is "Merciless" Majors' big come back? No it's not. Buttt it's *something* for now. And he'll be back after time has passed. It sucks what happened to him. It really does. Yeah you can see that they've replaced "the council of Kangs" storyline aka Avengers Kang Dynasty leading to Avengers Secret Wars, with "The Council of Dooms'" aka Avengers Doomsday leading to Avengers Secret Wars.
I'll be honest: I never really rocked with Kang in the comics.
In the original Secret Wars and it's 2015 reboot comic run, the main villain was always Doom and then the Beyonder.
In fact, in the OG Secret Wars, theres a part where Kang, Ultron, and Doom are all standing shoulder to shoulder, arms crossed pondering on what strategies to use to defeat the heroes.
I don't remember what Kang said or if he even said anything at all, but seemingly out of nowhere, Doom was pissed at him and while standing there l, not even looking at Kang or Ultron, Doom ordered Ultron to kill Kang.
And Kang was like 'wait lol what wtf nooo why 😭'
Seriously that's the extent of how I knew of him when I was little and that scene still cracks me the hell up 😂
But anyways yeah we can't really have Secret Wars without Doom.
We need him fighting near death with the Beyonder, we need a proper Beyonder too, not some Kang or Doom variant that becomes the Beyonder, we need Spider-Man to get the black suit, we need proper Claw and Molecule Man and we need proper Hulk to save everyone by bracing an entire mountain side on his shoulders.
Also when I first heard Kang was announced, I pictured Daniel Craig playing him.
But Majors did a good job.
Anyways aside from that, yeah I didn't like this whole direction they were going with an an actor can only do so much. While Loki series was decent, Ant-Man Quantummania was awful and really handicapped Kangs intimidation factor as a big bad.
Remember, we didn't even get Thanos until Infinity War but we had years building up to him so his impact was huge.
Meanwhile Kang gets defeated by ants 🙄
However, I'm not entirely down with this new change either.
Getting RDJ back and making that reveal feels like desperation mode on 11.
They know theyve been in a mess since after Endgame and they pretty much now begged the Russo's and RDJ to come back.
I also not really down with RDJ being Doom. It's weird.
I think I have an idea how it can work but still.
I know it's probably gonna be a misdirect and he's probably playing both Iron Man (variant) and Doctor Doom, but what I heard is Viggo Mortenson is actually gonna be Doom.
So what I think has happened is RDJ's Doom IS Viggo Mortenson's Doom and he basically tricked RDJ's Iron Man and did a John Travolta vs Nicholas Cage Face Off/ Captain Ginyu vs Goku body change move, using some device.
So for the first movie "Doomsday", we'll see how the Council of Kangs was actually eradicated (I don't buy that handwaved BS excuse of the TVA somehow successfully rounding all of them up like cattle off screen)
By a 'council of Dooms' (or Doombots maybe) and the leader, aka RDJ, is using Toby Starks body so he can gain access to his tech, financials and status to further his goals for universal domination.
That's why on stage at Comic-con RDJ said "new mask same task"
The mask wasn't the Doom helmet but acquiring Tony's face.
Same task meant same mission for domination.
Then the Avengers fight him while the Fantastic Four locate the real RDJ Tony Stark who is trapped in Viggo Mortenson's Doom body and they rescue him and figure out a way later to switch the bodies back.
That's why Avengers Secret Wars has red and gold Iron Man font signifying the return of Iron Man (even if variant) similar to how High Jackman has returned now as Wolverine for one last hurrah.
That's why they're paying RDJ so much. He is playing two roles while later Viggo will take over one of the roles.
And RDJ said he'd only come back if the Russo's direct.
And then Viggo Mortenson's Doom will take that same device and fight the Beyonder (who is hopefully either David Hasselhoff or Adrien Grenier or Entourage) and rob his powers and fix his scarred face and reveal it finally to everyone.
Then the soft reboot happens and Disney begins to prep to sell Marvel.
The nly unfortunate part is no Kang. Like they're gonna have to do a flashback or CGI scene without Majors, showing how the Dooms defeated al the Kangs. Probably banished them to QR where Aleoth and HWR are

It was DOA, all the controversy outside the mcu aside, Kang was not nearly as well received as Thanos & the big movie that was supposed to lead into Kang Dynasty bombed at the box office. Literally everyone will be more excited & interested in Doom, even if RDJ wasn’t playing the character

Marvel fired Majors in December, the same day he was found guilty of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and assault. His villain, Kang, was created as the new Thanos of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and would feature prominently in "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty," which has now been scrapped and replaced by "Avengers: Doomsday," starring Downey.
“Yes, heartbroken. Of course,” Majors responded when TMZ asked if he was hurt by the new direction Marvel was taking. “I love Kang. However, Doctor Doom is evil.”
TMZ later noted that Downey was being given the opportunity to lead more Marvel films despite his own history of legal troubles. Downey was arrested in 1996 for possession of heroin, cocaine and an unloaded gun and received three years of probation. He faced many other legal problems in the years that followed, causing some Marvel executives to worry about casting him as Tony Stark in 2008's "Iron Man."
"I think it's only fair that Mr. Downey has been met with patience, curiosity and love... and that he will be allowed to work [his] art and be creative at that level," Majors said of how Downey was given a return despite the legal problems. "I didn't really understand that."
Would Majors want to return to the MCU as Kang? "Hell yes! Hell yes! I love it. I love Kang," he said. "If that's what the fans want and that's what Marvel wants, then let's move on. Hell yes."

This man truly deserves more than this!! Even though he’s heartbroken about the whole thing, he’s responding to it in such a mature and respectful way. The way he carry’s himself also shows and makes me feel and see how much of a good person he is! It’s cool that he says “ Doom is wicked!” I really enjoyed his Kang!! I really hope he may return somehow eventually. He really should! I also hope he makes a great comeback in general for his career! He’s such a phenomenal actor!!

Who is "we"? 😂 I want Kang back, but I don't want Johnathan Majors back. Not because of the allegations, but because he can't act. I felt that way we he uttered his very first lines in Loki season 1.
I don't know about his acting in other movies, but Kang is too big of a role for him to deliver on. There are so many other black male actors who could act circles around Majors. I would much rather them replace Majors with one of them and call him an unknown variant. They could have made that work since they are doing the multiversal saga right now.

Kang always manages to conquer each universe where he exists. And once each variant of Kang is the one who remains in their respective universe, they'll all fight each other to conquer the Multiverse. Hence the Multiversal War!

Like Kang sees something in the future and comes back to conquer the planet, the avengers are gone, the new avengers have to join up to defeat him, plot, more plot, some talking and then an epic battle, they win the movie ends with a few post credit cuts scenes.

Loki season 1 episode 6 as He Who Remains, that performance, still those scenes are in my eyes. He perfectly suited for Kang in MCU. And that mid credit scene of Quantamania, no way, every time i see that scene I become one of those variants and start jumping, doing weird actions. I really, really dreamt so much theories for Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. During snack breaks, me and my friends mostly dicussed about how the Kang dynasty story might go, how Loki Season 2 will pave way for that like that we were discussing with so much anticipation and enthusiasm, little did we know Kang Dynasty will be gone completely. I don't even care how this saga goes and I currently don't have any hope on secret wars. RDJ casting is just a desperate move, Cilian Murphy would fit more than him. By the way, Dr Doom and Battle world requires a separate saga. My only question is will Majors be casted again in MCU for Kang atleast in next saga? They never fully showed that character's potential in big screens.

I want Kang back in the MCU, but not Majors. His acting was terrible. I was disappointed when he uttered his first lines in Loki season one as "He Who Remains." I just couldn't believe that the same company who casted Josh Brolin as Thanos picked Johnathan Majors as Kang. The quality of acting was night and day.
There are so many talented black male actors who would have done a far better job playing Kang than Johnathan Majors.
Kang was a great villain. He just needed a better actor to execute the role, and a better storyline. Like Thanos would have NOT been defeated by a bunch of ants.

He was trying to calm the situation down....he pushed her and put her back in the car... That's what he got the conviction for...self defense. Dr. said her (finger) injury wasn't consistent with what she said happened....she was using her hand PERFECTLY fine, digging through her purse,tucking her hair behind the same "injured" ear....even used it to drink, and get twirled by a random guy with the same hand(all on camera btw). As the people she met with didn't notice any injury or blood on her....his "criminal" act was trying to calm the situation down...which is bs
