Im so invested in this quest which is funny as i don't even use this product! I think i can just relate to the hunt for a loved product thats discontinued.

Every time you wear Stereo Rose on screen I understand why you love it. It's not just the colour it's the texture that's so beautiful.
I wonder if the nabla and Laura geller options would give a similar more sheer effect on deeper skin tones. Even though the Bobbi brown isn’t quite as quick of an application, I actually love a baked gelee product for the same reason you enjoy stereo rose. Because they take a bit more effort to pick up and tend to be a bit more sheer, it’s very easy to get a subtle look that can be built up if you wish. I’ve loved following this journey-glad you’ve found several options to give a fairly similar effect!
I have been so invested in this “series” lol even tho I would/could never use stereo rose on my skin tone the way you do. I just wanna see you win lol
I really need MAC to reinvest / relaunch the mineralize skin line with new shades. The current stuff does not hold up to the old school mineralize line.
I LOVE those bare minerals highlighters the formula is so buttery and soft. Im trying hard not to buy more but mauve glow might find its way home with me
I have the blonzer, which has been my daily blush the past month (since I bought it)! I love the formula.

New shade of blush from RMS called Crystal Sleeper swatches very similar to stereo rose imho. Also my new favourite, very easy to work with and doesn't go clown like if you are not careful.
I wish they made a deeper version of stereo rose because seeing you rave about it and use it makes me want something with a similar application and effect
I have one of those Nabla skin glazers, though in a much paler colour. I think the one I have is called Privilege 😆 It is super easy to apply on my pasty skin and looks gorgeous. I know what you mean about "healthy colour". Had it for years and it's still lovely 👍🏻
I have that one too! It’s just a highlighter on me, sadly no blush colour haha
My favorite blush of all time has been the Hourglass powder in Mood Light. It was purple lavender and it was actually a lovely cool tone on my very fair skin.

i hate it when the BEST ones are always limited edition, i had a eye pencil i bought in 1991 or 1992 and i dont even know if anyone will believe me, BUT i was NEVER ever able to find a dupe i wasted the pencil to its oblivion and got scared at the end to know WHERE will i find another one like it??? i tried dozens and dozens to this day i havent found one, there are many close ones but nothing like that very loved one I once had and loved😢
May this what they want… that we spent much more money finding the dupes…
I love the Laura Geller blush. I just ordered two new ones as well as the baked foundation which is so easy for everyday to feel a bit put together.

I'm glad you managed to find something close enough. Maybe in the future MAC will rerelease Stereo Rose :) I got the Bareminerals blushlighter in Peach Glow and it's definitely a lovely product. If I see them in store, I might get another shade.

You inspired me to pull out my Mac LE colored highlighter and use it all over my cheeks today, lol, can’t say it’s not a bit sweaty clownish. Not that I want you to prolong your search but some of the lightest crate London blushes might work.
Bobbi Brown is also a baked one. The only not baked product of the bunch is from Bare Minerals.
Yeah I should have mentioned that. The Bobbi Brown and the Nabla are a baked gelee formula, which technically is baked, but it’s very different to a traditional baked powder that I’m after 😊
I think you should check out the Milani Baked Blush shade in Rose D'Oro! Temptalia's a makeup blogger from the U.S. that has a huge database of dupes, and she has this one listed as a dupe for Stereo Rose.
I’ve tried it and it wasn’t quite a great dupe. I’m very familiar with Temptalia haha, I don’t always agree with what she considers a dupe though 😆

Well, you’ve got some pretty close dupes there. I know it’s hard to find dupes for products we love I’m always on the hunt for certain things. I have an old Mac mineral skin finish that I used for a highlighter blush. It was called “ lust” I can’t even hardly dig out the corners anymore, I know bareMinerals added a couple more of those highlighting brushes to their line very recently, and I believe they both have the word mauve in them I did swatch them the other day, and I think they have a rosy look to them. Back in the day there was a make up line by the Kardashians lol and they came out with the star embossing highlighter blushes. I loved those, and I’m still trying to find dupes for two of them. I am also looking for a certain cinnamon pink color that Mac used to have they were lip colors in a pot. It was like potted gloss, but they were very pigmented and I didn’t know they were getting rid of those so I didn’t buy any back ups now I am freaking out. I can’t find that color.
But now that I think about it, I think did find my version of it. It’s the blush from the nudegasm palette from Charlotte tilbury
Yeah I was looking at that palette. But I didn’t want to buy a whole palette for the one shade 😅
Love this 😄 have anyone tried the Ciate glow to illuminating blushes? They look stunning online and like they are at least a similar idea.
In the 80s I had socks that color too! 😅 I really enjoyed this series. It points to a new way of looking at makeup shopping, a more focused makeup shopping instead of us just piling in on the latest launches. Filling in our collection, replacing beloved products. And the differences between the products are very interesting. When I just casually look, I think Nars Orgasm, but in fact the finishes are vastly different. 👍
Speaking of the finish, sadly Stereo Rose makes my mature cheeks look like snakeskin, emphasizing my network of fine lines. So, I don’t reach for it much. I’ve been moving more toward creams sticks and balms. For a similar color finish, I’d try maybe Jones Road Balm in Dusty Rose, or Tawny if you are deeper, and then Chanel Baume Essentiel in Dragee or Rosee. With these the shine is emollient on drier skin. 💄
Thanks for the tips! Yeah I mainly have oilier skin, so powders work better on me, but they definitely aren't great for everyone.
I have socks this colour haha! I bought them not too long ago, but they always turn heads and get strange looks when I wear them... so I mainly for hanging around the house in haha

If HAUS labs is available in AU then you should try the highlighter in the shade Rose Quartz (the others are glittery, this shade is not).
It does look very pretty, but probably a bit too blushy (similar to the intensity of the Nabla one).
I have Laura Geller Apricot Berry which may be a good dupe.
Maybe the elf glow wands? I have the Rose You Slay and it is sheer, pink, and shiny. Im not always a fan of cream blushes, but these blend out super fast.
I have a few liquid shimmery blushes, but I honestly wear powders more often ☺️
Okay, this might sound ridiculous, but here goes- have you ever tried the Wet N Wild Illuminating Palette in "Catwalk Pink"? If it's sold in Australia, you might want to give it a go. It's in color stripes so you can make it be a highlighter or a concentrated blush, or just swipe over the entire thing for a beautiful, diffuse cheek color (it works SO well on my ultra fair face). Might be worth a shot?
It looks pretty, but I sadly don’t think it will look close enough to be a dupe 😆

Have you seen the new RMS beauty cheek blush Crystal Slipper!? Looks like it could possibly be a new contender.
Try a goat bristle brush on the bobbi brown. Natural fibers make it easier to pick up this product for me.
It works fine, it’s just not as easy as the MAC one 😊

I think I did years and years ago, but it might be on private now haha. I might try to do a new one but I havent tried a lot of their latest formulas so I feel like it might be a bit incomplete

I swatched it in one of the videos I linked in the description box. I don’t know if the new shades are in Aus yet.
They have but they’re all sold out everywhere 😂. If I see any I’ll swatch them and send them over ❤.
I haven’t seen them in person, but RMS Beauty has the ReDimension Hydra Powder Blushes that may be a good alternative?

I bet if you repressed the Bobbi Brown blush, it would be easier to pick up.
It’s not so hard to pick up that I want you to jeopardize the integrity of it. It’s fine, just not as easy as the MAC one 😊
