- Buffalo's First Ward tells the story of the neighborhood through the voices of those who live there. The First Ward, and its residents, have a fierce pride. That pride and endurance are responsible for the rebirth happening in the Ward today. Buffalo's First Ward captures this feeling of camaraderie and through it teaches us about where Buffalo has been and also where it might be going.
This WNED PBS production premiered in March 2015.

Jack was an amazing person we miss you jack. He hired my mom at the bakery. lol she was the 1st black women that work there. amazing folks. Carol, Angie, jack. great people.

I'm not Irish but I really enjoyed watching this and think it is a great idea for all ethnic neighborhoods to celebrate and enjoy the traditions and hard work of the prior generations.
Indeed! Most people are not aware of their heritage. They should read it like a book and announce it proudly! Let’s go first warders!!!
