  • This laptop is so powerful, it's about to get its manufacturer BANNED.
Well, kind of. Let me explain.
This is the Huawei MateBook X Pro for 2024, and there are a few things you need to know about it: First, this thing? Absurdly light. It weighs under a kilo, to the point where it almost seems insubstantial in the hand -- especially considering the level of hardware muscle contained within.

Huawei Matebook owner here, the performance mode is different from the Windows implementation because it actually extends the TDP limits when enabled, something that AFAIK, Windows does not do. Windows power settings will change turbo behavior, performance mode will unlock the boost table to allow for higher periods of Turbo speeds and power levels, and kick the fans on to make sure it can maintain performance. On my i5 1135G7 I am limited to 28W peak, 15W sustained in balanced, with performance mode enable, I get 28W sustained, 40W peak. This is useful when paired with ThrottleStop to disable CPU turbo, and allowing the Iris Xe to be able to flex its muscles a bit more.

      1. Thanks to apple getting hacked a few years ago we have celebs nude pics!
      2. Few days ago, photos deleted YEARS ago suddenly reappeared on apple devices after an update they did. Apple CARES about your privacy and your data, that's why they keep them on theirs servers even after you have deleted them!! Something they accused Huawei about!
Yeah I'm a hater i guess or YOU are a fanboy with selective memory.

Let's not count them out just yet, everyone said that they would stop making phones, but they are still making them. And with this new iteration of laptop, they just may carry on making more and more laptops. Provided they are able to produce more chips before they run out😅

    • @bllodwolf2431

@@arkvsi8142 Yes, however you may not always be able to use a desktop, some people may only be able to use a laptop since they may travel, or couldn't be able to buy a proper setup. There's people that record using a laptop, just because you may not use/care about this, doesn't mean there aren't others that think the same.
I myself have a proper microphone setup and everything, but technique and placement will only get you so far. Fan noise will still be picked up even if you are a god of audio. That's just how it is.
Of course, noise gates, noise suppression, dynamic microphones, ect, do help with this, but my point still stands.
It is VERY important to consider laptop fan noise no matter the case.

Nice laptop, but £2100 in the UK as they only have one model (2TB/32GB). I would love a 512GB/8GB version for around £1400 (current price of MB Pro 14 M3 with the same spec). So too expensive and a deal breaker for me and many, I expect.
