- Finally got my hands on a copy of DKC2 for GBA. Considering the top screen of my DS is broke, I was going around looking for GBA games, and I found DKC2. K.Rool this time around isn't that fun to fight, you can't roll under the spike balls or anything. Oh wellZ! I tried to make it as exact as the father video of this: • Donkey Kong Country 2 ... , without the dieing at the end. Because that was on acci...purpose. :) BTW, expect an update of the father video soon.

Would you say the GBA version is harder? Instead of K.Rool shooting purple clouds in the SNES version, he shoots blue ones. That means you'll get frozen instead of reversed controls, and THAT means you're guarenteed to die if you hit them.
When you get all the Bonus coins you reach this level
There was a fight on K. Rools ship and in the lost island.
Both areas are featured in the SNES and GBA advance version.
One thing they definitely did right on the GBA version. They removed the midpoint barrels in hard mode, just like in DKC3. (The SNES's hard mode still has them.)

I totally agree with you dude. When you lower the difficulty, the sense of accomplishment dwindles to an unsatisfactory degree.
Ah, I've since looked into that. This is the boss after the lost world (I've only played through DKC2 once, and didn't 102% complete it so I don't know...) which is why it looks different. This battle is in the SNES as well, but loads harder.
I downloaded the original DKC2 on the Wii, and I agree its better than the GBA in terms of graphics/music, but a few weeks later I bought and completed it on GBA anyway, because I just couldn't handle the save system on the original. I know some of you will probably go on about how it makes it more of a challenge and more fulfilling, but for me, replaying 3 very difficult levels because I couldnt reach the save point without getting a game over, just makes it plain frustrating and not fun.

Lol I only have DKC and DKC2 , but no one told me that here was a third! Is the third one the best of all or is it better than just one? Lol I never knew about it. Your good at this... I fail, but I don't give up... It just catches me off guard sometimes, anyways good job Kanadwen!

WOAH! WTF? Man the GBA's version is alot easier than the SNES version.. I hate how games do that now.. they care for the kids that would like to say "I beat that game" but not bac kthen when the creaters didn't care if the game was for kids, but when they made a final boss fight, they made it hard as HELL!!!

It was in the original. I guess Rare thought they tortured you enough when you fought him the first time, so they might as well make it an all or nothing fight here. And I was hell of surprised at the amount of crap he's trying to shoot at you! Just to hit him with one cannonball?! 0_0; If the rules were the same from the first battle. Oh boy my thumbs would be sore.

How did they manage to eff this up? That annoying "wah-wah" sound from the light thing in the center is getting very annoying
What the crap? So easy? What was wrong with the Super NES version? Made me feel so good when I beat it because it was so darn hard.

Rare should make Donkey kong country 1 2 3 on ds with better grahics and music sound like snes.
Funky's Flights SUCKS! And so does Swanky... making you pay to re-fight bosses. Damn.

it's a shame the graphics were seriously toned down on the GBA version...
(I know this comment is old as hell but whatever) Actually the graphics where changed in a way that if you play on a real hand-held GBA the graphics will actually look really good for a GBA... as weird as it may sound... mainly because it was re-designed to look better on a tiny screen and I believe to also save space for the GBA cartridge without entirely sacrificing the graphics... not saying that it looks better than on SNES but it actually looks a lot better on a real GBA rather than video.
The gba version is better than the snes version in my opinion

SNES version FTW. This just sucks, and the end was simply ridiculous, it just seems that Rare wasn't even caring anymore and starting the developing of crap games all over again. Now, on Xbox, It sucks even more... Rare isn't what we know anymore...

Wow, this boss battle theme sounds terrible. Nowhere near as epic as the snes one. It really takes away from the battle.
