No offense but this is one example why he has to split the channel. You folks are short form subscribers who cannot watch a long form video and since yt video is retention based its really bad for his channel.
The guy isn't leaving he is just separating the short form audience and long form audience. So he will create a new channel to separate it.

Doing CZcams shorts are fun but whenever I do them, they start popping out of nowhere. I wasn’t happy about getting tons of views because that was everything. But I can see where you’re coming from. I like both formats, but youtube doesn't always give me the same type iof video when I scroll/swipe, so I prefer long format
You SHOULD try to get a SPONSORED PRODUCT on your long vids, that's the only real way to make YT sustainable... you just gotta make sure they aren't terrible products (like EMF protection bracelets lol)
I don't think people will mind a 15, 20, or 30 second ad read about 1/3 of the way into the video...
