- I'm taking an old big box store table and turning it into a $1000 Spalted Maple live edge river pour table. So many things go wrong on this build but just enough things go right that I pull it off.
As an amateur everything I do has a huge learning curve, unfortunately within that learning curve things get messed up. But, that's half the fun of building things and DIY projects is to push yourself and learn new things along the way.

You haven’t finished yet but you make me smile. I have never done one yet also just started woodwork at 72 and loving it. Will be doing one real soon for my daughter’s birthday she wants a shelf to go over her hall radiator doing it with peacock feather’s. Can send a photo when done. Keep going you will be great. X

I decided not to sell but, I have gotten offers for it between $500 -$600. It being my first river table I want to keep it around. Total cost was around $450 , the Maple slab and epoxy being most of the cost.

@@troy6793 Shipping on these is nearly impossible due to how much they end up weighing. So I would say if you live in or are near an area that has people that would pay $1000+ for a table then you definitely have a market.
