▶️Introduction
Fire tube boilers are used for many industrial processes to generator steam. They are one of the two common boiler designs commonly employed today, the other design being the water tube boiler. The boiler shown in this video is a three pass boiler, as the gasses pass three times through the boiler shell.
How Fire Tube Boilers Work
Fuel is fed by a burner into a corrugated furnace along with air. The air and fuel mix and a source of ignition is applied in order to start combustion. The heat from the flame and exhaust gases is passed to the corrugated furnace, then to the water due to thermal conduction.
The exhaust gases then pass through a reversal chamber, the second pass of tubes, the third pass of tubes, then finally through a smoke box and out of the chimney. The furnace and tubes allow the heat generated by combustion to be transferred to the water in the shell. As the water in the shell is heated, it begins to turn to steam.
Fire tube boilers rely upon on relatively few parts, these parts include:
* Shell - fired pressure vessel.
* Burner - used for combustion.
* Corrugated Furnace - where combustion occurs.
* Tubes - used to direct exhaust gasses through the shell.
* Tube Sheets - used to hold the tubes in position.
* Reversal Chamber - gasses are reversed in this space and sent back in the opposite direction.
* Cover - retains insulation which increases the thermal efficiency of the boiler.
* Smoke Box - located where exhaust gasses exit the final tube pass, but before the chimney.

This is the most fantastic video I ever saw, thank you so much,
neat explanation, incredible presentation.
I
Like
It.
Ever since I stepped my feet in engineering class, for the first time I've fully understood everything 100%, I feel like I owe you fees buddy, thanks alot
Brilliant explanation! Having it disected in such a manner makes it exceptionally digestible. Thank you so much!
Sir seriously you demonstrated so well that I can visualize how a boiler can be and how it works.
Great video! I am a chemical engineer student, and this content helped me so much to learn how boilers works.
Great work John!! Thank you so much from Brazil!!Your explanation allowed me to understand this system so much better ,God bless you!!
Simply, the best tool for transferring this type of knowledge. When you couple it with the excellent narration, you will see what a powerful, practical teaching tool it is.
your videos are the best thing i found from the internet. thank you so much.
This is a very deep video into the fire tube. Helpful, thank you.
Very simply explained the structure, construction and working of a fire tube boiler. Would love to see videos on how to descale smoke tubes and to prevent it.
Great Tutorial. Your community should really be bigger than what it is presently. It should be in millions. Thank you
This video really helps me in my summer training , Thanks a lot 🙏
Wow that was an amazing approach! Thanks so much for the contents!
Some of the best instructional videos I ever seen.
Thanks!
Thank you sir! A 3rd year Mech engineering student here! Great video
Great work! Thanks, I hope and really recommend to create such kind of 3D models for Gas Turbine Compressors (centrifugal gas compressors) ... Thank you again, keep it up!
it is impressive how easily could the working principle of industrial boilers be explained with some quality visual representation like this one. Wish engineering schools learnt that THIS is the way. Great video.
We agree!
Excellent video on Fire Tube Boilers components and operation.
Great video with fantastic presentation! This helped me to understand the fire tube boiler within 15 minutes.
Great works. Thanks for the knowledge
Great work. Neatly explained!!
I love this thank you i finally see.
Really Impressed Good Work SAVREE
Excellent video! Thanks.
شرح جميل جداً....حفظك الله من كل سوء
وأسعدك في الدنيا والآخره❤
Very, very, very instructive video.Thank you very much : It's clear and well done.I LIKE and subscribe .God bless!Greetings from Annaba; Algeria.
Great stuff. Very clear and well presented. Thank you John!
You're welcome
Awesome, this helped so much. Thank you!
An explanation of how a natural gas valve works inside a furnace or water heater would be interesting.
I worked as a tool and die maker for a gas valve manufacturer for a number of years and always thought it was fascinating how they could have a fail safe operation utilizing thermocouples and micro electromagnetic actuators.
Greatly explained .
Fantastic video very worthy of my time.. Thanku
Thanks for such great explanation.
The configurator is such a great idea ... Thanks
Thanks Ahmed!
dude, you wonder that if I enjoyed the video; I say hats off. Appreciated 👏
super duper great video! thank for the animation 😘
Thank you for such a great video on fire tube boiler.
Glad it was helpful!
Very very good demo sir. Thank you very much🇮🇳
The best explanation!!!
Thank you! This is so cool. Engineering made simple for a layperson.
You're very welcome!
Great explanation thankyou so much
Great work!
I am here to tell you that you are amazing.great work.
Well presented.
Incredible explanation along with 3d model. Showing every single part of the fire tube boiler force me to positive comment on your work. Try your best to explain various engineering equipment, there use and working principle.
Thanks!
Very helpful. Thanks.
Brilliant Information!
Amazing explanation..
Love from India...
It could never be explained better than this. Thanks alot. Please also explain about the other components of the boilers too
Wonderful explanation
Great work sir, really amazing this 3d model helps everyone thanks

very good lecture, thank you so much
You are most welcome
very nice
Best post
Great video!
Thanks!
why this video didnt got million views m amazed just brilliant
Agreed :)
Thank you friend ! It was very interesting ! This is how I understood - that reverse pipes can be easily serviced after some time if they get clogged! The side walls are simply unscrewed and you can get to those tubes (if the boiler runs on dirtier fuel). A bit like a nuclear reactor! 😻😻😻😻😻
quality content stamp
Nope, your explanations were clear enough plus the subject is fairly straight forward =) 1x is reserved for math subjects mostly ;)
Best video 😊 and wow knowledge
Thank you so much 😀
Great video weldon
nice
Incredible explanation, Go ahead.
Which softer you used for this 3d animation??
Very helpful video..waiting video of water tube boiler, furnace, turbines, pressure vessels, distillation tower, reactor.
@@savree-3d Thanks, eagerly waiting for it
You amazing !!!
Thanks!
excellent video. Would you happen to know if he feedwater for the boiler is preheated with the exhaust gases from the boiler? That would add a few percent to the efficiency?
Thks for sharing the super-secrets of stream power. Hopefully you won't get in trouble for doing it.
@@savree-3d "Mum's the word"
