U.S. Supreme Court Justice Address: Hon. Warren E. Burger (October 18, 1991)

On October 18, 1991, former Chief Justice Warren E. Burger, the 15th Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, visited the Law School at the invitation of Dean Howard T. Markey (LLM 1950). Chief Justice briefly addressed the then-recent events of Justice Clarence Thomas's nomination to the Supreme Court, as well as what the Chief Justice considered a long history of "hard ball politics" in Washington, before commenting on other matters related to the Court.
