He's not running a martyrdom build, you can tell by the lack of wound curios. Also its probably not a solo build considering that he's running a support ability, which makes it more impressive.

Once it happened the same, we all died in auric in a middle of the mission, and this ogryn survived for 10 minutes straight totally alone against multiple hordes of enemies and a chaos spawn. We were bamboozled, it was like watching the emperor himself.

I like to imagine the crew of the Mourningstar all gathered around the Mission Terminal map with a live feed of the events, watching in awe as they witness a Zealot channeling the power of the God Emperor Himself.

What I did not get was why he did not simply... relog, instead of leaving for good. That spawns you back in all the time.

If you die, you can cut your internet to instant revive, as it will spawn a bot on dc and let you take control when you re-join. Very cheesy, but when spawns are bugged i believe it is fair game to do it.

Apparently, this Bug where people are spawned in the very start of this level happens quite often. This has happened to me once before, and it was another freakin' legendary Zealot that managed to pull this shit through, and solo the final part..

Having experience being that guy in the party, $100 says he was high enough he probably didn't know he was completely alone for the first 2 minutes, then his adrenal gland secreted all over itself. That was beatiful to watch!
They didn't know they were playing with an actual hero of the Imperium.
Moments like this are what we play horde games for. That amazing feeling of being the rock fighting against the tides, mowing down enemies from all directions in a last-ditch attempt to save the mission and your team members.
These are the moments that keep me in missions even when the sh*t hits the fan hard.
I've been witness to a couple moments like this before & even when they've ended in tragic deaths, it's always been an absolute blast to watch. Stressful AF though when its all up to you. 😂❤

We've just witnessed the Darktide incarnation of Sly Marbo
Damnnation Twins Assassination. Im playing as a Psyker and my whole team is down or dead. I survived for 4 minutes straight by timing slides, popping shields to deal with the 5 maulers chasing me, and throwing void blasts at the gun twin. Clutch of the century
For future reference, if you're ever either (1) downed where someone can't save you (e.g. netted and everyone else already dropped down a ledge) or (2) if you respawn somewhere you can't get rezzed, there's actually a "work-around". If you close the game, your bot will teleport back to the other players. Then when you relaunch the game, you'll get a prompt to reconnect to the match you got "disconnected" from. When you rejoin, you're back with the squad because that's where your bot ended up after teleporting.
Obviously, there's no point in doing this towards the end of the match, and if you the match finishes before you rejoin you don't get any credit. If it's early in a match though, I've found it to be useful (especially with friends).
Zealots are just built different. Like literally. Fatshark made them so OP. Someone must love this class over there.

I swear, this game has so much potential! If only there was more to do maybe we'd see some greater retention.
Don't get me wrong, SOME content drought is great for the long-term health of the game and we've seen some great steps in the right direction with- for example- the class reworks, but I simply do not think it is enough. Darktide could probably benefit a lot from things such as seasonal content or some kind of periodic updates or content releases.
Maybe they could even do something akin to the Helldivers' global campaign where the entire player-base contributes to war against chaos on Atoma. Especially with things like specific global milestones that might unlock new areas or change mission modifiers.
Yes! I would love more stuff to do in-game. I came back because of the October talent class update haha

Turns out when you know the game mechanics, you test out your builds, and you build skill to play with, instead of listening to absolutely clueless redditors or virtually every utterly clueless youtuber, you get obscenely effective builds and players that can get really, really goddamn good at the game as a result of having a build that _works_. Great job. Nice work. I know how rough that is to need to go into hypermode.
While I wouldn't necessarily say that every youtuber and redditor is totally clueless, at the same time I fully agree with the notion that actually testing and tweaking it _for yourself_ is what truly gets you somewhere. Cause well, everybody's got a different playstyle, so different skills would complement their capabilities 'n stuff.
These are the kind of moments that my ogryn lives for.

Had a similar experience. Team comp wasn't working together very well, (I.E. Everyone had gone down multiple times within 5ish minutes). Low and behold, just me, my flamer, and eviscerator pulling off the only clutch and saving the rescuing the team. It felt like forever, (the only time a pve game had me shaking) got mad praise from the team. Just for one guy to INSIST on grabbing a grimoire, ultimately doom us.
The grimoires and scriptures are a scam!

as a zealot main it makes me happy to see another zealot going nuts with the class, also edit to add the fact that he was high af and just casually clutched
You won't get cool clips like this but when you get spawned in the wrong area, close the game. When you start it up again it will ask it you want to reconnect to the game you were disconnected from, click ok and you be spawned in the right area.
I had to do this once and it worked. Just be sure not choose quit match or you won't be able to reconnect.

I just want to say. It is absolutely refreshing to see someone actually stay after they die.
I play this game only for these moments. Can't say i survived for 10 minutes but clutching solo for a minute or two with friends in discord is the best feeling in the world.

The relic has saved a run more times then I can count. Had one last night T4 of the vault and twice everyone died but me and that relics stagger and over shield is a lifesaver

Basically, the most prime way to play Zealot, is with the Bonk Stick, Bolter, and Flame Nades.
The only time you are ever using the Bolter is vs Snipers and Gunners.
The Mace of Waste, the Bonk Stick Crusher, not the hammers.
It's block sweep attack is so fast and you can spam it endlessly to clear mobs.
It has so much stagger, it can soft lock the Crushers and keep them from attacking.
Mutants aren't a threat as long as you're near a wall. They will pick you up, making you temporarily invulnerable, and yeet you through hordes, so they're actually helping.
You only use a Fire Nade to keep dogs off of you, if you aren't confident you can time the block push to knock the dogs back, or when you have so many things rushing you that you need a minute to think straight.

Reminds me of the time I as playing a MMO, and the team pulled *way* too much agro. Thee tank and healer died almost as fast as the dps who accidentally drew the rage, and left me (another DPS/Control) all alone near the end of a lair, several hours in.
We were using Ventrilo back then, and when the Healer saw what I was doing, trying to pull a few at a time and deal with them so I could get in close enough and lay my one rez item on them (I always number my feathers for just such an emergency), they started playing "I Need a Hero" through the voip.
I know what Alaric felt; that anxiety, focus, nerves... and then that elation, that high that nothing compares to. It might be why we game, in the end. Looking for *that* moment.

I had similar achievement as an Ogryn just not on the same difficulty. My whole team went down in the rod room so I had to survive for a bit until they could be rescued. Then I put my back to the corner near them and planted my shield, when I saw a decent opening I chucked a cluster grenade box to stun enemies so I could get one of my teammates up and the rest followed soon after. We eventually made it out of the room and finished the mission.
That's awesome! Shield Ogryn is so good for tanking mobs haha

There’s a mission about assaulting a norscan war camp to kill their boss because he’s about to figure out where the Ubersreik 5 hide, so the level is about killing him in his own camp.
There’s a section that’s basically payload with a ram to open gates. This is important.
I was playing Bounty Hunter, BH’s ult is pulling out a 50 cal derringer and firing once. At level 30 you can choose to make it fire shells (it’s bad) or Armor Penetrating slugs that give ult charge back on headshot. Before a recent nerf that was 60-80% of charge back per collateral headshots. I had the slugs equipped.
My entire team and I had a chatastrophic run before arriving at the payload section, I was the only one reasonably healthy because I had a necklace that made me slowly regenerate HP at the cost of only being able to get temporal HP from healing potions and bandages. We tried to use whatever we found as sparingly as possible but the AI director must’ve felt cheeky that day. It was rough.
Once we start pushing the cart and the endless horde event starts, they end up falling one by one to the most BS comp I’ve seen. Like 3 Chaos Warriors popped out of nowhere and downed the elf, an executioner looking motherfucker delivered the last hit to our dwarf and died, and the mercenary died reviving me because I also got got by the same executioner. However, I luckily regened enough HP to reset my downs before that.
So there I was, alone for what could’ve been the end of that quick game. Gg go next.
But I went “fuck it. If this game wants me dead, it’s going to have to earn it. Because I’m spiteful like that.”
Contrary to our zealot from dark tide in this video, there was no boss that I had to endure, but fuck me I don’t know what hit me in that moment but I just fucking started blasting, dodging, blocking and swingin’ like a god dammed professional. I pushed the cart entirely on my own and every new fucking Chaos Warrior or Leech or Windblower the game threw at me got a bullet in between their eyes or was cut down by my falchion. I also abused the collateral property of the ult by guiding the chaff so they formed a conga line and BLAM, ult almost charged again and that’s 8 bodies in a neat line I wouldn’t have to deal with anymore.
So yeah I fucking didi it, and I rescued the other three. I don’t remember if that was the game where I also found a focus potion and two shot the final boss or another. Probably another.
To this day I cannot pull a feat like that again. Holy shit.

It's actually *really* good at crowd clear. Only really struggles with multiple crushers or ragers in your face.
