In this tutorial I show you how to kitbash some corrupted Squats who have fallen under the sway of the Chaos god Hashut.

thx this conversion was genius imho .... tho now im wondering if you could kit bash an old school squat in exo armor from one of the leagues of votan kits ... you know the ones that gave the space marines a run for their money in the old lore xD
Do you think we’ll get Chaos Squats in the future? In ye old lore there were Chaos Squats akin to the Fantasy Chaos Dwarfs
Considering that Vashtorr was introduced as a daemonic machine demigod, would these chaos-corrupted dwarves be followers of him, or perhaps Hashut is another name for Vashtorr?
I would likef to see more leagues of Votan from you whatever you decide. As for an Idea, The kin hate waste and try to recycle everything, so what about a salvage crew or a sort of "truckers Union" for a home brew league.
I legitimately want to see an entire army of these guys

You should totally build more of these Hashut Votaan, different unit types. Maybe you could make a full army build like you did with the Sylvaneth?

Looks really cool. I am currently planning a RoboCop / Terminator inspired Crome League once the boxes arrive.
I would kinda like to see some Chaos-corrupted Drukhari, like maybe a Nurgle aligned Haemonculus with some infected Wracks and Grotesques or even some Khornate Wyches
I like this idea. Perhaps these Drukhari made a pact with one of the other three Chaos gods to "save" them from Slaanesh?
@@SlurpeeBoy9999 That could be possible, I also did a conversion of a Nurgle-corrupted Drazhar and even made two sketches of a Nurgle Wrack and Grotesque
I do not know if eldar would worship human dark gods…
@@1r0zz It's not worship, but a pact. Protection in exchange for service. Plenty of Chaos forces have such an understanding in the lore.
I think a Giger style Drukhari would be neat by mixing tyranid bits with them. You could make the Nid bits organic like they've been infected or you could paint the Nid bits like they are metallic designs. Like a steel flecked tyranid ribcage etc.
I think Vashtor is the 40k equivilent of Hashuut and this guy perfectly fits the aesthetics of both. It'd be cool to see more corrupted votann in the future!
I wasn't convinced by the waist plates at first, but the fire runes really lifted them! Lovely work as always! 😀
They're a perfect example of why you can't always completely plan out your paint scheme ahead of time. You don't always know what you model will need until you've got some paint down.
Amazing work, as always. I'd love to see how you'd interpret a more T'au aligned League, or how you'd work with a Sontaran influence, something I toyed with for a while before settling on my bronze and red scheme
Sontar-ha! Nice idea with the Tau stuff, they'd definitely work as auxiliaries or a trading partner.
You should do that one chaos dwarf that’s basically a Dreadnaught, as a corrupted Votaam.

Holy FUCk that is gorgeous! I really like the twist of the chaos kin too: while they almost can't get corrupted, a Votann instead gets corrupted (maybe the one that had to witness all of its kin die?) and starts to spew out chaos kin.

Great conversion as usual! It’s not especially heavy handed but really transforms the model.
The firey grills of the mask and runes definitely kicked that model up a notch. Painting over white looks like a great way to paint orange and yellow, I hadn`t considered that you could do that on a model that was so close to finished before.

I love this so much. I have a possible suggestion, though - it's said they're less susceptible to the influence of Chaos due to their "conservative" nature, or their resistance to change. What if such a group were exploited by a new Warp entity which is the embodiment of entropy? Heat death, silence, etc. Making them the opposite of their fiery, fierce, loyalist brothers. An icy theme to emphasize their abhorrence to conventional "Chaos"... to the point of being totally corrupted by a Warp entity which desires perfect, inhuman and lethal order in the universe.
Love this look, reminds me of Mickey Rourke’s character, King Hyperion from Immortals.
This is a fantastic idea, would make a really cool army.

Mooooore. I spent hours watching the old videos of Battle for Skull Pass dwarves being converted into chaos dwarves and even got a fair few done myself. Let's go deeper and see some BFSP dwarves turned into Leagues of Votan!

Mix green stuff with epoxy sculpt. Use Nivea hand cream. It absorbs into the putty and paints without issue. 😊

They are brutal! For those of us who haven't fallen into the warp, you can think of some conversion to turn them into real miners, perhaps using bits for squats of Necromunda?
