Garry Marshall's shows were a big part of my childhood/early teenage years. The Odd Couple, Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy, and Bosom Buddies. Didn't care much for Joanie Loves Chachi, though. Rest in peace, Cindy Williams(1947-2023).
With all that made me laugh, I cried my eyes out at the end because all it did was remind me of the time gone by when I was with my family. Having lost both parents young, life got so hard. These shows and moments bring me back to that time when my parents were alive, life was innocent and safer, it goes by so so fast and once it's gone, that's forever. Thank you to those who value these moments and preserve the best times of our lives. It's so different today, seeing these shows means more to people like us that were young watching them than anyone today can understand. We appreciate your upload.
And these people that we loved so much are going away too. 💕 I cherish these innocent shows from my childhood. RIP Cindy,Penny, Garry, squiggy (David) Erin, Tom Bosley. 💕 Thanks for everything❤️
I always loved Laverne & Shirley even more than Happy Days. But how I miss those care free days of television, each week anticipating the next bunch of antics to make us laugh and feel good for 30 minutes to an hour. I am not sure when it lost it's way, but television lost that magic somewhere in the past couple decades.
@vwlssnvwls3262: It sure did lose something. I don't watch regular t.v. anymore except for the channels that show old t.v. series. And of coarse, I have my favorites on dvd.
This was one of the best parts of my teens. Happy days started when I started junior high school. Then the Laverne and Shirley show, then Mork and Mindy spin offs. I've watched the reruns for years, and the comedy still holds up some 45 years later. May they rest in peace. 🕊️
Was great to be at a taping in 1978, the one I refer to as "the murphy bed episode." McKean and Lander musically warming up the studio audience was a blast. Great memories from such a great cast on a great show!
As a kid growing up in Milwaukee in the 70's, Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley were two shows that I loved. Yes the Milwaukee nostalgia was there, but heck I was what 10 years old? So that wasn't the reason. I loved the Fonz. I wanted to be "cool". I was a fat kid. So I was the first one that got picked on. One High Schooler even threw lit matches in my hair. Being Chippewa Indian, my hair was always thick and longer. So POOOF! That didn't change until I fought back, and later went on a massive diet and went from 250lbs. to 145 lbs! When I went back to school that year, people didn't know who I was. I was a lineman for the football team. Now I was 5'9" 145 lbs. long hair, leather coat, and I had a new attitude. These shows didn't cause this. But they showed me how things are very different when you LOOK DIFFERENT! As a little kid I had a massive crush on Shirley. There was a girl named Cindy who lived down the road a few houses, and she looked like her. Granted again I was 10, she was 18. But hey a crush is a crush for a kid. These shows gave me an escape. Back then I needed it. So if your kids are quiet, not very positive, skittish, or just don't want to go outside. TALK TO THEM! Being bullied and alone can really hurt a kid's head. Or burned in my case.
Did your luscious hair come in handy later in life? As in not losing it and not getting thin?? Just curious. I too was an oddly chubby kid up til 8th great. I lost a ton of weight, got diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and grew about 5 inches over the summer lol. But although I’m in good shape now, I STILL feel like the cat kid who needs to work at looking decent.
So, "Happy Days" spun more than L & S, they also spun "Mork & Mindy". So much of my childhood was spent watching ALL these shows! The writing was spot on for it's time and is STILL great to watch today!! Glad to see all the cast got along and still do to this day. Not EVERY show can say that. This is just one of the classics that will never get old. Great cast, this show had it all.....
Weirdly, Happy Days itself was spun off from a single episode of "Love, American Style" called "Love and the Happy Days" (not from the film "American Graffiti" as you might suspect even though Ron Howard and Cindy Williams were in that...purely coincidental).
The last time we've had great comedies like this is when Friends was on the air. We need more shows like these because laughter releases so much stress in our bodies!

God Rest his soul and my loving parents as well. I'm in no hurry to leave this world but when it is I have only one thing to say. Lord take me Home again 😢

I was 25, my 51 yr old daughter was 2. I heard one of the young women at work tell a co-worker she could do such and such that evening as long as she was home in time to see Laverne and Shirley. I didn't watch it regularly, but for some reason that one incident became a memory. Watching now it's so easy to see how this show is remembered so fondly by those who grew up with it. Love and blessings to you all. ❤
How I loved this show back in the day, never been no other like it. This show holds very special memories for me....I will always love Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams. I love this show always and forever....r.i.p. Penny Marshall
Same here, I remember this was one of the few American shows that was shown in England.I kept on watching this show when my family moved to the states.LAVERNE and SHIRLEY was a show that is so near and dear to me.
As I mentioned, I grew up in Milwaukee during the 70's. When this show first aired I was 7 going on 8. I had such a crush on Shirley, Cindy Williams. Ironically there was a girl who live a few houses down named Cindy who looked very similar to her. So I obviously had a crush on her as well. But that's not the point. Happy Days was one of my favorites as a young boy. The Fonz was "cool". He always defended his friends. When Cindy and Penny guest starred on Happy Days, and Shirley "dated" Ritchie, it was a great crossover that you really wanted to keep seeing. There are so many different things I loved about this show. The ladies friendship was so strong. Like sisters almost. Plus this show didn't rely on overt and blatant sexuality. Yes there was innuendo but as a kid I didn't get most of the offhanded jokes until the reruns...lol. Lenny and Squiggy were goofs, complete goofballs but again as friends they'd be there, well they'd try. Successfully? Not always. But their hearts were always in it. Laverne's dad reminded me of my Mom's father. My Grandpa. He was a big, husky man. Big arms, and very very boisterous, loud, and more loud. My Grandma was the opposite. She was the most soft spoken lady, but an extremely strong woman! She adored her kids. Grandpa was loud and intimidating especially for a little boy who grew up with fights and loud arguments. That for me was unnerving. But my Grandfather was a great man. Sadly I didn't get much time with them. They both passed before I was 10. There was a lot of characters on TV I connected with as a boy. Living in a alcoholic home was one more reason I used 📺TV📺 as an escape. So many of the shows I loved I had a similarity to, a kinship with, or there was a character I saw as a hero I wished was in my house at times to save me. Fonzie was that guy in Happy Days. TV gets a bad rap for the violence, at times the brutality, at other times the overt or as some say the unnecessary sexuality or sexual deviants. But just because you've seen it as a child growing up it doesn't always mean that when you become an adult you'll mimic that behavior. For example, my Dad was not the most faithful man. Now he wasn't a man who "beat" his family, HOWEVER if a man lays a hand on a woman ONCE, THAT'S ONE TOO MANY TIMES! Same with a child. Now that said we also had an extremely abusive neighbor. Looking back I wish I could have done more. But again I was between 5-8 yrs old, and the cops weren't to quick to believe a kid. But perseverance paid off! But I can't begin to say how afraid i was for that lady. These shows showed how people, respectful and decent people how they treated one another. I grew up seeing my Mom cry wondering where my dad was. I vowed to NEVER EVER PUT ANYONE THROUGH THAT! Nor would I EVER, NEVER lay one finger on any lady! Movies and 📺TV📺 shows back in the 70's were by far 1000% better than anything they show now. FAMILY was a priority! There were true friendships, honesty, great families, and a lot of fun! From Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy, Emergency(Squad 51), Bob Newhart, The Odd Couple, Bewitched, and my ALL-TIME FAVORITE M*A*S*H!! So many wonderful memories, so many incredible shows, movies, and those created so many wonderful memories, childhood adventures, and as I said, for me it was an escape. The 70's were an absolute EPIC TIME! I MISS THE SHOWS, THE PEOPLE, THE FRIENDSHIPS, THE LIFESTYLE, AND MOST OF THE EVERYTHING THE 70's OFFERED. No offense but the 2020's have been 💩 💩 on every level.

My friend works at Paramount. He took me on a golf cart to the outdoor set where they filmed the Laverne and Shirley intro. I was born in 1971, L&S and Happy Days was a huge part of my childhood.
THERE'S A SAYING IN PUERTO RICO THAT GOES LIKE THIS: "ALL TIME PAST WAS ALWAYS BETTER." THINGS WERE SIMPLER. "THOSE WERE THE DAYS MY FRIEND, WE THOUGHT THEY'D NEVER END."😢
WoW!! Thanks for uploading this. I watched it everyday when i was 5 to 8 yrs old or so after my dad and I picked my grandmother up everyday at 3 p.m. at the Standard Knitting Mill in Knoxville TN. I have this entire series on dvd and even met Henry Winkler once. A super SUPER nice man. He was such a pleasure to meet.
Shouldn't we use the beans for the gas? I forgot how great Penny was at being not so proper. And that smile and honking laugh as she looked at the actual "proper" gal. I totally forgot that scene, THANK YOU! 😊 As one comedian once said, Farts are FUNNY! Farts are 💩💩 without the mess! And it's so damn funny honking a egg next to someone who doesn't get the joke. I also forgot how great Henry Winkler and Ron Howard were on Laverne & Shirley. They obviously owned Happy Days. But this "crossover" made these two shows so much better. I actually lived down the road from Leon's. That's the ice cream🍦restaurant that was the basis for Arnold's.【(A)】I have to say thanks again! These scenes, clips, and bloopers are bringing back some great memories, childhood experiences, and awesome dreams. 👌 EPIC VIDEO!
RIP ladies. Thank you very much. As every day and year that passes, more and more of our favorite people ends up passing just showing how mortal we all are. I grew up actually believing that my grandparents and parent were immortal. Here I sit as a soon to be 47 yr old in July with both sets of grandparents and my mother no longer with us, it sucks.

Real talk Laverne & Shirley was the most legitimately funny show on television at the time literally the best show on television in my opinion.
RIP Cindy Williams and Penny Marshall
Rip Phil foster ,Betty Garrett , Gary marshall, penny Marshall , David l lander now Nov 27 2021 Eddie Mekka 69;,all left is Cindy Williams and Michael McKean
July, 2023 & now we've also lost Cindi. Thank goodness for technology, we still relish them.
Lenny the lone wolf is the only one left
RIP Penny Marshall & Cindy Williams
I love watching this show always and forever love me ❤️
My friend works at Paramount. He took me on a golf cart to the outdoor set where they filmed the Laverne and Shirley intro. I was born in 1971, L&S and Happy Days was a huge part of my childhood.
I can't believe so many of them are gone. I miss you all.
My sister and I love this show good memories
Its sad these reunions were not on the Laverne and Shirley DVDS
One of my all time favorite shows, love this Reniuon Special
I have a friend like Laverne, met her in 1991. We still keep in touch. Great sence of humor.
This show makes me laugh. No shows like it since.
Cindy Williams, Michael McKeon, and Henry Winkler are the only 3 Left with us today in January of 2023 may all of the Rest of the Cast RIP 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🌹🌹🌹🌹
This is one of the best shows ever made. I can't believe how old I am 😮
THERE'S A SAYING IN PUERTO RICO THAT GOES LIKE THIS: "ALL TIME PAST WAS ALWAYS BETTER." THINGS WERE SIMPLER. "THOSE WERE THE DAYS MY FRIEND, WE THOUGHT THEY'D NEVER END."😢
TY 4 sharing this with us! It’s 😞 that Penny and Garry are passed. ✌️❤️🙏🦋
Lenny and Squiggy were a riot.
Afterwards, they came up with a band called Lenny and the Squigtones.
Michael McKean and David L. Lander, who played Lenny and Squiggly, were actually high school friends in real life.
Mine too Lisa mine too. They were amazing women Both Ms. Cindy and Ms Penny so special they were. Classy ladies. I will miss them.
Great times thanks for the memories
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️❤️ I’m crying watching this omg they were too funny. They don’t make shows like this anymore!!
Eddie Mekka and David L. Lander appeared on Match Game/ Hollywood Squares Hour with Gene Rayburn and Jon Bauman.
Love You Laverne & Shirley
A great show a true classic
I love Laverne and Shirley. Also, Happy Days. I grew up watching these shows. Loved tv back then.
This is pure gold!
I really miss these days. I could just cry.
I Remember watching this when this premiered back in 95, Great memories
Looking at it now seems so dated yet it was 1995!
They all are hilarious I just couldn’t stop laughing 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤ love love love Lavern and Shirley and the whole cast❤❤❤❤❤
This show is still a classic I got the dvd of the Complete series R.I.P To Penny Marshall and others who are no longer here
They were the best ever. They completely understood each other and they were so funny. The perfect match, I hope they made amends for it was magic.
I love to see a movie version to this show.
I don’t think it will happen cause all who is left is Michael McKean & Cindy Williams
As long as they didn't try to make it woke.
It would be ruined. This show was pure classic.
My all time favorite show.
This was so great to watch.....I never knew they did a reunion.
When shows were wholesome and fun.
