Yes! Spoon was awesome with facing off with one of the wolves in the kitchen. Also when he's nailing the house door, and one wolf gets his paw inside and he's frenziedly beating it with in double time. I was sad to see Spoon go.
"Hey did you ever wonder what predator would be like if you replace predator with a werewolf, and popular american action stars with down to earth British chaps? Well have I got a movie for you then!"
Ryan Hollinger purely comparing monsters the Predator is infinitely more interesting than a pack of werewolves and I’m assuming you prefer Dog soldiers because of the characters and that it contains more “substance” you could say but The Predator is a high octane high suspense ride with a cool ass monster it doesn’t try to pose any mind widening questions it’s simple high testosterone fun and that makes it perfect
Zombie Dan The Predator is a cult hit for exactly those mind widening questions. It's much more than a popcorn action flick and asks hard questions about humanity, and how we're seen through the eyes of someone unfamiliar with us. Those big guys in the beginning, are considered heroes because we see things from their points of view, but they are killing machines in the eyes of those they are sent to kill. Just like the military. Heroes at home, monsters overseas. The movie warns us against the "Might makes right," attitude, because that would mean if someone stronger than you comes by, they would be the rightful authority. The Predator monster is not strong like Arnie and Carl Weathers, instead it uses technology to eliminate them, or tried at least. Every other male character represents different aspects of the human male, so when the monster in The Predator kills everyone except the one who goes back to his roots, it speaks volumes on how we can survive dominating technological authority. We go back to nature, where the rules don't ever change.
Dog Soldiers is a fantastic movie and extremely underrated. I remember when I was a child being so hyped for this movie when it premiered on the Sci-Fi Channel despite how afraid I was of horror movies in general, And I'm happy how well it's aged since then
It is definitely a great movie that I have been a BIG fan of since I 1st saw it. I'm still surprised that it hasn't gotten more recognition over the years and at least reached some sort of cult classic status....who knows maybe the accents throw people off. Another good Brit werewolf movie is HOWL (2015)....werewolves on a train need I say more? LOL!! It's got the same good characterization as Dog Soldiers and the same claustrophobic atmosphere. I Highly recommend it if you you haven't already seen it.
I liked how despite their inexperience, they go all in on the monsters. Very often in movies we have the military force being incompetent to a fault, take a few losses and just give up or even be wimps from the get go when faced with paranormal entities. Here they are somewhat genre savvy and would rather go in a pan vs claw battle against a werewolf than admit defeat. That is why I like movies like these at least.
that is what works with the Kaiju genre. The Military is useless but they never seem to give up, every time Godzilla or some other monster rises from the sea he is always met with human military first and foremost
Yeah, soldiers would never hesitate to respond to any perceived threat with overwhelming force. If anything, this film is unrealistic in how the perceived threat actually JUSTIFIES that overwhelming force.
The way you view the original Predator as a subversion of the typical 80's action romp is so on freaking point. Holy crap, that movie just became more golden than it already is!
Truly. I always saw Predator as a great film, although I somewhat believed this to be partially the result of accident or luck. This analysis along with having recently revisited the film in the past few weeks have made me realize how far more deliberate it is than I had given it credit for.
When listening to the commentary, McTiernan calls out specifically the scene where they're firing blindly into the jungle as a subversion since it shows that their weapons are ultimately useless.
I’ve heard of Predator as a metaphor for the Vietnam War. The Americans go into the jungle against a foe they are completely certain they can beat. Then the rug is pulled out from under them: stalked, blindsided, facing a foe they were unprepared for... those who survive are permanently scarred by what they have witnessed, like how Dutch just stares with hollow eyes at the end.
Predator is a kinda weird concept when you thing about it. It's like, take a schlocky action movie but add an alien to it. The fact that it works so well is kinda amazing.
Predator, Dog Soldiers and From Dusk Till Dawn are all a part of my favorite subgenre of horror. It would call it something along the lines of paranoid, claustrophobic, survival horror. These movies are also a bit of a bait-and-switch genre-wise because they start out more as action/suspense movies that take a drastic nosedive into horror.
I remember buying this movie on DVD way back for a dollar, expecting a cheesy werewolf movie to laugh at while high or something. Instead i was blown away how good this movie was, and today its one of my favorites in my collection.
One thing I noticed about Dog Soldiers after 20 plus viewing are the themes of elitism and social class division. Ryan is a hoity toity special ops upper classmen while the squad are quintessential working class grunts. Cooper's choice not to kill the dog and stay with his team saves him because his unit are so willing to sacrifice themselves for one another and work together they survive long enough for Cooper to make it out. Ryan is left completely alone by his squad, becomes an actual monster then dies. Great film.
Let's not forget this bit: Cooper: Well, Ryan, you heard the score. Maybe one or two of us'll make it through this, but I don't care much for our chances. D'you like football? Ryan: What? "They think it's all over", and all that crap? No I don't. Cooper: Yeah, well Joe, you remember Joe? He liked football. He fuckin' lived for it. Ryan: Is this relevant? Cooper: He missed the most important match of his life for this bullshit exercise, and now he's dead along with two other mates I'd have rightfully given my right arm for. Too fuckin' right it's relevant.
Dog Solders is such an underrated gem. I remember picking up the dvd for super cheap back in the early 2000s not expecting much from it and was pleasantly surprised with how great it turned out. It’s definitely in my top 3 werewolf movies along with An American Werewolf in London and The Howling.
Can’t say I expected to see an in-depth analysis concerning parallels between Predator and a B-movie I’d never even heard of. Butttt this the kind of great content we come to expect from you, brilliant!
Oh, yes! My favorite werewolf movie, one of my favorite siege movies and one of my favorite horror movies (especially among the far too rare horror/action hybrid) period. It's a shame Neil Marshall haven't directed more films over the last decade.
I have to disagree on the early points of the forest shootout and Billy's death. The forest scene isn't their previous Hollywood tactics failing them, it's a contrast to the earlier shootout which while hectic was methodical, they stopped and required the enemy and cleared them out. In the forest it's shown that these professionals who were cool under pressure before are cracking while facing this Predator. It's so alien and different to what they've trained for that they're reduced to shooting randomly nonstop at something that probably left the area 10 seconds after they started. Billy's death was also not unceremonious. He was the only kill treated with respect, the others were slaughtered with the Predator's advanced weaponry but Billy understood that this thing wasn't just killing them but hunting for sport. By openly challenging it in the clearing without weapons and making himself bleed while showing no pain he demonstrated he too was a warrior. He stood no chance but this display earned him a death not shown but respected as his remains were treated as a special trophy for the Predator.
You say you're disagreeing, but you've just described what Ryan said but with different wording? It kinda sounds like you didn't fully understand what he was saying, since you just repeated it in a comment.
All of them were taken as trophies tho by the predator that's why he came and took Blain body . If you watch the dvd documentary you see Hawkins body being treated like Billy too in a scene they didn't use
It's true that Billy's death isn't without respect from the Predator's perspective, but it is more-or-less disregarded by the film itself. It's a major point of his death. We, the audience, get the awesome build-up of a warrior preparing for his duel to the death, but when it comes to for the actual payoff we get... an off-camera scream. There will be no true minstrel songs lauding Billy's death, because all anyone can gather about the actual moment is pure speculation. We have the before and after. The only being that knows how Billy actual went out is the Predator itself, and it's not talking on that subject. It can respect Billy, but it's cutting him down all the same. That's the part the movie focuses on. He's still just another trophy, almost as inconsequential as the others. And doesn't your other point just agree with the video?
I'm really interested to see how Marshall handles the Hellboy reboot. Sure, I don't think it'll be as good as Del Toro's version but I think he'll be able to capture the brutality of the character better than Del Toro did. Also, my favourite Predator movie has to be Predators, there's something so human about it that is wholly captivating.
Alextromagnetic I find Predators to be a good successor to original Predator, too bad they didn't follow up that movie directly and now we got Shane Black Predator which is quite disappointing.
@@TheChugg11 No offence, but it wasn't King Willie who said that. It was just some random Jamaican Voodoo Posse member. "But ya know what? I tell ya what I believe... shit 'appens!" Then followed by a crazy laugh. Also, r.i.p. King Willie.
there are a few things i never understood about the monster in that film (Deep Rising) what are they? are the worms attached to the big one or are they like a bee hive and the big one is the queen? but these questions don't take away the fact that it is an awesome movie.
I would love an alternative to Predator but with just a team of guys trying to escape an extremely dangerous single man. Just to have that mix of "Well he's just a human" but have the enemy be so consistently violent and dangerous that it becomes a monster film.
Alan I'll definitely have to check that out. But exactly Ryan. I just think it would make for a good spin on the horror genre. Not really the "Oh he has a gun and we're untrained innocent people" type or the "we're trained but this guy is 8'9 and can take 100 bullets before going down" either. Just more of a battle of wits in terms of killing and being able to survive someone who is damn good at it. Love your content, by the way. Met your channel when you were at about 3k subs so it's been awesome to see you find success.
Wish i could remember the name of the movie, there is one movie sorta like that i watched once. Essentially these bank robbers hide out in this forest and are trapped there by some vietnam vet who hunts them all. I think it might've been a B movie but it's been awhile.
I just noticed now you haven't made a video about the Alien franchise! I would love your opinion on the first two Alien films and Prometheus. Maybe even some thoughts on Ridley Scotts science fiction universe. Personally I think he made a way better job at making the universe feel large, unknown and scary, by shrouding it all in mysterie. And great video btw! I really love your content!
'I hope I give you the sh*ts you f*cking wimp' So many memorable lines from this film but that one will stay with me to the grave. LONG LIVE DOG SOLDIERS
Another outstanding video! I absolutely love your work! Dog Soldiers is one of my favs. My favorite Predator movie is the first one just because it came out when I was a kid and is one of the few 80's movies, aside from RoboCop (something about 1987, I guess) that I can watch on repeat. Aside from that one, I also love Predators for the new elements it added to the lore, the literal otherworldliness of it, and the character studies on human nature.
Had to read the second sentence to know if "Dogs Bollocks" is a positive or a negative? 10/10, I'd say that's meant as a positive? :D You learn so much from reading the CZcams comment section. Not sure about the score, but for me, Dog Soldiers is one of the best British fantasy/horror movies ever. That's why I keep telling everyone, regarding Hellboy: "Trust Marshall. He did Dog Soldiers and Descent."
The first time I saw dog soldiers was on a VHS my friend and kinda neighbor's mother bought at movie gallery as it was slowly going under. It had snowed about 12" that day, school was canceled and we met up going through the woods (a more direct route to each other's houses than walking following the road) in the morning. We played in the snow for hours, then went inside to play playstation and watch horror movies. Dog Soldiers is the standout from that late afternoon viewing, and although I was already late for being home, I couldn't force myself to take the quicker route through the woods, slowed by thigh deep snow and coyotes howling just a mile or so away. Dog Soldiers forced me to take the longer route, and I'm not ashamed to admit that the cheap plastic cap gun I carried that evening made the trip a touch more bearable.

Great video! As a pretty big fan of werewolves in general, I simply adored dog soldiers upon first seeing it. I do, however, find it to be rather disappointing that the quality of films featuring werewolves has been a bit in the decline since the early 2000's. I feel that we're long overdue for either a proper werewolf horror movie or an action movie featuring the beast. Hell I'd even take a satirical comedy featuring them to be honest.
Me too , were Wolves have always been my favourite and scariest cryptic, ever since a film I was forced to watch by my friends older brother when I was 5, I think the film was called amongst wolves and it was filmed in the mid/late 70s I think. And have tried to watch every werewolf movie available since then .
The absolute best thing about dog soldiers (and I say from experience) is how spot on the relationships the squaddies have with each other, light and noise discipline was shambolic though ;)
One of my absolute favorite movies of all time! So many incredible lines and scenes and characters…so underrated! Thank you for giving this gem attention and some good analysis.
Dog soldiers was the shit. It was a movie sitting on the shelf of my friends huge VHS tape collection. Just popped it in cuz we were bored and DAMN. I stumbled upon a mighty fine movie.
Your interpretation of Predator as a deconstruction of 80s action films honestly just blew my fucking mind. I don't think I'll ever be able to see that film the same way again.
RIP my man Spoon and RIP to the Sarge. Also after you watch this film you realise it isn't hard to see why Kevin McKidd got the gig as Soap in Call of Duty
Dog Soldiers is fantastic, I saw it twice in the cinema when it was released (in Ireland). Really enjoyable and excellent British sense of horror and comedy and action.
Luckily brits and Irish have the same humour and we hear all the different accents of these island's everyday, I can imagine seeing Americans watching this not understanding a single lick of speech 😂
I just watched Dog Soldiers again 2 days ago. Pretty sure I summoned this video into existence. I was even thinking "Man, I wish there were more videos talking about how great this movie is"
Funny this was your post for the week. I was just watching predators last night, which I think along with the first are my favorite. The second was my favorite for along time because it was the first one I had ever scene and watched a million times. Great video as always Ryan.
I love when this movie gets the spotlight. Easily my favourite movie. Great characters, cool monster designs, fast action scenes. I remember watching it with my brother on Syfy when I was younger, and I got my friend into it. Easily seen it 20+ times. The underrated pinnacle of action horror
My dad first showed me dog soldiers when I was five of course I was terrified but it instantly became a classic to me and gave me and my dad something to bond over with for many years now
I stumbled across Dog Soldiers a while back on a horror-movie binge, and I was very pleasantly surprised by how good it was throughout. Glad you're giving it some much-deserved limelight.
I am a sucker for werewolf movies, and Dog Soldiers is my favorite because of the awesome creature design. I hadn't thought of either this one or Predator as a deconstruction of masculine action fantasy, but I see what you mean, especially about Predator. Thanks for making this - you made me appreciate these films in a whole new way.
In 2016 I was living on Treasure Island in San Francisco when I found this movie in the city library. It had a B label on the case which marked it as a B movie. Not expecting much, but knowing I had a boring night ahead of me I took it home, expecting maybe a few laughs, nothing more. Then... I was awestruck by how cool this movie was! It is absolute fan service for anyone who's into the werewolf myths and legends.
I saw half of this on tv when I was a kid and OBSESSED over figuring it out what the goddamn title was until I got a dvd a few years later. One of the best goddamn movies ever made far as I’m concerned
I remember renting Dog Soldiers from Hollywood Video when I was younger, my Mom let me watch horror movies at a young age. I remember not liking the movie at all until the werewolves came out! It is such a hidden gem. Thank you for uploading this video man. Predator and Dog Soldiers share similarities I never even knew of.
I was glad to find this film AND even happier when I found I could finally get the closed captions by watching the disk on my pc's drive. I had a hard time with the accents!:)
I think the "Stiff Upper Lip" would apply to those fellows. Sean and Kevin are just amazing in everything they do, really loved those 2 in Gotham (Alfred) and Rome (Lucius Vorenius).
A bit late to the party here, but man I love Dog Soldiers. I remember watching the DVD when it was a new release. Spoon was easily one of the film's highlights, especially his fight scene in the kitchen.
That scene where the werewolf grabbed the shotgun and soldier yelled "fuck!" and ducked before it shot back in the window then chucked the gun back in just made the movie 100x better to me😂😂
I remember going to see this in the cinema with two of my friends from school. We where just old enough to get in and it completely blew us away. Happy memories. Once I got it on dvd i showed it to every one i knew.
When Dukes loses his mind and just repeats “Imma have me some fun…imma have me some fun.” Is the most unintentionally funniest shit I’ve seen and lives rent free in my head. 😂 but dog soldiers is a favorite of mine. Both are.
I used to have this on VHS and at some point the film was damaged which absolutely destroyed the brightness, you have no idea how tense this film is when you can JUST about see the outlines of characters during the darker scenes
Still absolutely love Dog Soldiers and remember going to see it in the cinema. Something I think it does brilliantly is show how all the 'best' training doesn't matter when you're in an emotionally driven situation. Ryan, with his being the "best of the best" would, in a typical action film, have been the protagonist while Cooper's grunts would have been just more bodies for the pile. Their dependence on one another, added to the fact they KNOW they're going to die, produces a cohesion which Ryan and his team are lacking.
OMG!! That looks like an awesome movie. 1) I don't know if you've already done it, but I would like a more detailed analysis of "Predator" (if anything further can be added to this video. 2) Thanks for the analysis of "Dog Soldiers". I just added it to my movie list. Werewolf movies are the only horror movies that can scare me now...EVER!! I love Sean Pertwee. His accent is kicking!!
I like how in dog soldiers, all the main cast of soldiers who we know the best seemingly all die atlas the heroically or fighting like a badass, be it spoons or the guy who loves football. And the main sarge who turns into a wolf (the good one)
i discovered DOG SOLDIERS by accident when it came out in the USA on DVD. I later got a Steelbook DVD and the SHOUT Factory Blu-ray. Great Movie. Great Review. Dog Soldiers is a gem
I still remember my dad showing me this movie and loving it then talking to people and finding it was basically unknown. It needs to be more well known
When I was a teenager I had really bad insomnia and would watch whatever turned up on Film4 until the sun came up. One night this movie came on and I sat there spellbound at this fucking weird, off kilter but lovingly made film and I’ve loved it ever since. Even shown it to a few friends over the years and they’ve all loved it too. It’s a film that can be enjoyed equally whether alone or roaring drunk with your mates
I found it on CZcams and watched it before going too far in the video. It’s great, if a bit dark and hard to tell the soldiers apart for a while, but it was great. I totally wasn’t paying attention enough and the twist did get me, I didn’t realize it was stated before that, I just thought she really liked the home owners.
My favourite Predator film has always been 2, I just never get tired of it. Love Dog Soldiers as well, its one of the great werewolf movies that deserves more attention.
I saw Dog Soldiers as a kid during a family vacation to a cabin in the woods. It was a bit too spooky for Little Me. Of course, Big Me knows werewolves aren't real but I still keep a silver 9mm in the chamber for laughs. For laughs, yeah.
I saw this movie on scifi at about 3am smoking weed when I was 15 and instantly loved it such a shame they never moved the sequel. When it turns into a total defense at the end and they're digging holes thru walls in that house was amazing.
A moment of silence for Spoon. May he feast in the halls of Valhalla.
Easily the best character in the film. Absolute mad man.
Yes! Spoon was awesome with facing off with one of the wolves in the kitchen. Also when he's nailing the house door, and one wolf gets his paw inside and he's frenziedly beating it with in double time.
I was sad to see Spoon go.

If they kept him alive they could have built sequels around him finding more and more werewolf nests around England/other places. Great character.
"Hey did you ever wonder what predator would be like if you replace predator with a werewolf, and popular american action stars with down to earth British chaps? Well have I got a movie for you then!"

The only being that knows how Billy actual went out is the Predator itself, and it's not talking on that subject. It can respect Billy, but it's cutting him down all the same. That's the part the movie focuses on. He's still just another trophy, almost as inconsequential as the others.
And doesn't your other point just agree with the video?
wait, Dog Soldiers has Werewolves and the guy who plays Alfred on Gotham? Sweet!
"You know what I believe: I believe...shit happens." (RIP King Willie)
@@TheChugg11
No offence, but it wasn't King Willie who said that. It was just some random Jamaican Voodoo Posse member.
"But ya know what? I tell ya what I believe... shit 'appens!" Then followed by a crazy laugh.
Also, r.i.p. King Willie.
Years later and he got fucked over on hellboy
Dog Soldiers is a fantastic movie! Sean Pertwee is perfect as the SGT. "There is no spoon!"
An interesting Predator-esque film is Deep Rising with Treat Williams leading a band of mercs raiding an ocean liner.
Loads of people slag that film off but I always thought it had quite a cool premise.
there are a few things i never understood about the monster in that film (Deep Rising) what are they? are the worms attached to the big one or are they like a bee hive and the big one is the queen? but these questions don't take away the fact that it is an awesome movie.
I can't expect less from this channel. Thanks for the recommendation.
I would love an alternative to Predator but with just a team of guys trying to escape an extremely dangerous single man. Just to have that mix of "Well he's just a human" but have the enemy be so consistently violent and dangerous that it becomes a monster film.
Like a reverse on First Blood then?
Alan I'll definitely have to check that out. But exactly Ryan. I just think it would make for a good spin on the horror genre. Not really the "Oh he has a gun and we're untrained innocent people" type or the "we're trained but this guy is 8'9 and can take 100 bullets before going down" either. Just more of a battle of wits in terms of killing and being able to survive someone who is damn good at it.
Love your content, by the way. Met your channel when you were at about 3k subs so it's been awesome to see you find success.
John Wick comes close to that I guess.
A punisher movie from the perspective of a group of lowlifes while he slowly whittles them down in increasingly brutal ways
'I hope I give you the sh*ts you f*cking wimp'
So many memorable lines from this film but that one will stay with me to the grave.
LONG LIVE DOG SOLDIERS
Dog Soldiers is always why I check my backseat whenever I get into my car.
Lmao-eth
Kevin McKidd is so good - he was amazing whilst teamed with Ray Stevenson, Cirian Hinds, and James Purefoy on Rome.
Dog Soldiers is the Dogs Bollocks. 10/10 Movie.
Riku Ruohomäki
Bollocks = Bad
Dog's Bollocks = Great
I love Dog Soldiers!
Two of my favourite movies me and my grandfather used to watch these in tandem he wanted a dog soldiers sequel so bad. R.I.P old fella.
Dog Soldiers is entirely unbelievable! England 5, Germany 1????
Times have changed, haven’t they!
Can't tell if this is sarcasm or you didn't know about the 1st of september 2001 world cup qualifiers.
Torin Jones
No, I'm referring to every other time

07 Oct 2000 England v Germany 0-1
19 Jun 1993 England v Germany 1-2
11 Sep 1991 England v Germany 0-1
09 Sep 1987 England v West Germany 1-3
Ryan... I'm so happy you did a video on Dog Soldiers. Such an underrated British film!
I love dog soldiers! So glad you shone a light on it for this video-also I love Liam Cunningham as the antagonist for the film
The absolute best thing about dog soldiers (and I say from experience) is how spot on the relationships the squaddies have with each other, light and noise discipline was shambolic though ;)
Watched The Predator and all I can say is they nailed the humour but it lacked the charm and setting that made the original so Iconic.
I first saw Dog Soldiers on the aforementioned sci-fi channel one day when I was sick in highschool staying home, freaking love this movie!
You should do a video on The Descent
I thought the mention of it seemed obvious!
One of my favorite British films of all time, its so underrated and was made for next to nothing. Blows my mind how good it turned out
One of my absolute favorite movies of all time! So many incredible lines and scenes and characters…so underrated! Thank you for giving this gem attention and some good analysis.
Dog Soldiers scared the shit out of me as a kid. The dancers makes sense and explains why they are so unsettling.
Do all the old sci fi movies
Allan Tidgwell Here's a reminder that 2000 was 18 years ago, and our usual definitions of old are sinking deeper and deeper every year.
Dog Soldiers is basically an epic combo of Predator and Assault on Precinct 13
Dog soldiers was the shit. It was a movie sitting on the shelf of my friends huge VHS tape collection. Just popped it in cuz we were bored and DAMN. I stumbled upon a mighty fine movie.
Your interpretation of Predator as a deconstruction of 80s action films honestly just blew my fucking mind. I don't think I'll ever be able to see that film the same way again.
I remember watching this movie when i was super small!! ive always wondered what the name of it was ever since!! Thank you, you beautiful bastard! :D
You have the perfect voice for narration.
I watched Dog Soldiers when I was far too young and absolutely loved it. Haven't started the video yet and I'm already happy you're covering it.
"I hope I give you the shits" a British squaddie at his best.
Considering this video focused on werewolves (kinda) what about a video on an American werewolf in London?
I was even thinking "Man, I wish there were more videos talking about how great this movie is"
This is one of my favourite movies and I'm glad SOMEONE in the CZcams movie scene finally talked about it.
I never comment on youtube videos. But dude, quality freakin content here always.
Thanks!
Sean Pertwee father was Jon Pertwee aka Doctor Who Sean also plays a Wells-like character in Gotham as Alfred who trains young Bruce Wayne.
You might wanna take a look at the "Feast"-trilogy. It has slight simularities with such movies you explain here. And they are awesome as well.
Oh man I haven't seen Dog Soldiers in like 14 years. But that newspaper at the end still cracks me up
Great look at a great film. Featuring the Third Doctor's son and Ser Davos of House Seaworth.
So the first time I watched Dog Soldiers I almost fell asleep through the first act, but I kept on trucking and geez I was not disappointed.
The director and cast commentary on the dvd is fascinating and funny. I really need to watch this again
Dog Soldiers is one of my favorite films. And the Cast commentary is absolutely hilarious and phenomenal. I need to rewatch it!
So many golden lines and scenes in both of these. "I hope I give you the shits you fucking wimp." What a man. RIP Spoon
I was one of those that saw it when it premiered on SyFy or as it was known at the time, Sci-Fi, back in 2002. Loved it and now own it on DVD and VHS.
"What are you afraid of?"
Coop: "Spiders, and women... and... Spider-Women"
XD
Kevin Mckid also voiced Soap in call of duty so to me this movie was just Soap fighting werewolves which is something I never knew I needed.
A bit late to the party here, but man I love Dog Soldiers. I remember watching the DVD when it was a new release. Spoon was easily one of the film's highlights, especially his fight scene in the kitchen.
It takes a special type of man to fist fight a werewolf and then hit it over the head with a saucepan
I have so much love for your channel. You're one of the big inspirations for me to start creating content of my own.
That scene where the werewolf grabbed the shotgun and soldier yelled "fuck!" and ducked before it shot back in the window then chucked the gun back in just made the movie 100x better to me😂😂
When spoons started making stereotypical kung fu sounds while hitting a werewolf with a frying pan. Amazing film
I had a feeling you would be covering this movie. I also noticed the connection to predator when watching this movie.
I like how in dog soldiers, all the main cast of soldiers who we know the best seemingly all die atlas the heroically or fighting like a badass, be it spoons or the guy who loves football. And the main sarge who turns into a wolf (the good one)
Fun fact: The guy who plays Joe Kirkley in this film actually teaches German these days. At my secondary school, in fact. He was a pretty cool guy.
i discovered DOG SOLDIERS by accident when it came out in the USA on DVD.
Thanks you for reminding me of the Dog Soldiers Blu-ray I have buried in my movie collection
Lets just appreciate how amazing the credits photo shoot is.
Another fantastic video that talks about one of my all time favourite films (being Predator) and another fantastic British film. Excellent work 👍👍👍
My favourite Predator film has always been 2, I just never get tired of it.
