  • It is commendable how Yamaha has taken a 2017 FZS and made it nicer and relevant for today’s times. On the other hand, we are also impressed at how the Gixxer 250 has built on all the positives of the 155 to become a convincing quarter-litre offering that can take the fight to the more premium end of this segment. So which of these is better? Let’s find out.

I have been using a fz 25 for 3 years now... The bike is bulletproof... Recently rode a friends gixxer 250 and was blown away by the confidence it provided be it accelerating cornering Or braking... The fz is a great bike a very practical bike but after riding the gixxer it just felt a little crude and unpolished... The fz is a great bike for a newbie but if you are an experienced rider you are gonna appreciate the gixxer a lot more...

I always loved the fz25 till BS6 norms kicked in but after that I find myself getting attracted towards Gixxer250 because Yamaha messed up with price to features ratio as usual, coughing up money for reliability from customers is getting old . They had a chance to give it mt15's instrument console but they didn't give it. I know they can't give it a 6th gear because for that they would have to design a complete new engine and gearbox and that would make the bike expensive. Rather than making 2 FZ25 bikes they could have just given 1 bike with all features needed and offer windshield visor and knuckle guards as accessories. You can charge for accessories later on . Because the fzs 25 is 6000 more than the base variant .And for what LED indicator ,knuckle guards, windshield and golden alloys (which no one asked for).Any practical guy will get the Gixxer250 by paying 10k more . You get proper 250cc for that price with almost all the features you can ask for.

in the real life conditions its the yamaha that shines cause its very easy to ride in traffic situatios of metros like mumbai.also it has a better service network compared to the suzuki.in india a two wheeler is hardly ridden at speeds of 100 plus due to road conditions etc and the yamaha fz25 's engine feels stressed at 110 plus speeds hardly matters.even the riding posture on yamaha is more relaxed compared to the gixxer.anyways good comparo.

Hello... Need your suggestion. Presently am using Xpulse 200 4V. Initially i thought of doing off-roading, tours, highway cruising etc while buying Xpulse. but hard reality is am using it as a city bike for 25 Kms daily commuting. Suspension set-up is excellent and getting 37-39 KMPL mileage in my xpulse. Am thought of changing bike, as xpulse is not that comfortable for city and it is not made for that. My requirements are Daily 30 Kms travel in city, Little power to overtake vehicles in city condition, good economy mileage (atleast 40+ KMPL), Pillion comfort for my mother & wife, good suspension, upright seating position. My usage will be 80% in city and 20% open roads, speed limit will be less than 100 KMPH. I have short listed 3 bikes i.e. FZ 25, Gixxer 250 and Hornet 2.0. Please suggest one amongst as per my requirements.

And I will definitely said that the engine provide enough power in every gear. At 1st service I used castrol power 1 ultimate 20w50. After the servicing the engine is very smooth. But I found one cons that is Suzuki may provide a bigger windscreen such as option. That will make bike's aerodynamic more better while riding on highway.

Test rode the Gixxer, suited my style. Went along with it, low power figures for the Yamaha left me too unimpressed to even test ride it. Dominar wasnt going to cut it, I considered the 400 too, but that was too heavy and clumsy for city use for me.

All YAM series bikes r great on standstill to Initial & initial to just touch the midrange but afterthat its performance like fade away (except of @ll R series), I'm also a owner of FZS250 & I felt that very densely, don't know what's the real problem of D's m/c, may be their 4stroke r like almost 2stroke like feel in terms of initial performance, recently I bought GIXXEY250 D's blue livery naked 250, man it's civilised compared to FZS250 but when u hit d midrange to the higher revs & top end also it screams, top gear roll on r far superior & linear compared to FZS250.
Suz is almost 5.6ps more in terms of power but per litre=kms r more on Suz compared to Yam, headlight illuminations & throw at dark night is far better, cornering entry & exit also but Yam doesn't make same level of handling, only little bit comfy than Suz, SUSPENSIONS wise Suz is well balanced & little bit stiff but Yam is soft & wallowed, if you try to hard on corner entry & exit it's full body shakes & tyres r bit laid down cz doesn't make same level of confidence.
Being A Yam lover I've to admit overall Suz make D's time a way better to ride hard motorcycle
Now, I'm also a Suz lover.
Writing Points & Giving Numbering r like GIMIC Blessings type but The Manly things r like how u internally feel & what should outcome from your facial xpressions after riding those m/c'$ back 2 back 😉😑😉
