The Best Space Marine template is
-9-12 Infantry divisions (Could be motorized if You can afford it to go speedy)
-1-2 Artillery regiments for Big damage
-1 Medium Tank AA (It's cheap and gives good armor and also covers against air)
-Engineer Support Company for movement bonus and defence
-Artillery support Company for Even more damage
-Light Tank recon Company for a bit more of armor and damage
-If You want You can place an extra division of Anti air or Anti tank
Thats it, it holds up great most of the time

I literally don't know how to use the Airforce, that's my average Soviet Union Playthrough in a nutshell.
(Neither do I have a clue on the Navy, I just build ten armies of 9-1 and hope for the best.)
You can actually get the ai To design planes for you! There’s a button added I think to give you generic plane designs?
@@Aldrahill I know, I just have no clue what to actually research on it... I tend to just follow a manual, and yet to discover how to use tanks. Too much work...

@@Aldrahill well just try to destroy their industry by bombing and convoy raiding and then try to kill them :) also getting insane bombing damage numbers would be good!

Underrated
Stopping civgreed in 1938 is suboptimal, I go dispersed and dont stop building civs til mid 39, I get out like 250+ mils by barb and have a lot more ability to trade cuz more civs
Finland has no focus tree yet and the continuation war doesn't happen

Guys, i think that template is too much for few reasons. First org is really low because of support companies. U need just aa, art, showels. Then combat width. U want 26, because if u go more u wont be able to squeeze 3 divisions in one battle at one time (26+26+26=78). SO i suggest 9 inf 2 art 1 aa tank. Also superior firepower, its just the best doctrine (10% soft, 10% def, 10% org). And do not build forts, its just a waste of time and resourses. And the last one, as u can see, air is king in HOI 4, get good at it

I did a similar template with the Netherlands, but I used 1 medium tank, 10 infantry, 2 AA, and 2 artillery. Much cheaper on the tanks, and with superior firepower had 50 something organization. It shredded the Germans at max buffs
I disagree, forts can be incredibly useful, because not only do they actually help a ton while defending, your generals will also gain engineer experience while defending on a fort, not just attacking one, and getting either fortress buster or scavenger can really help a ton in the long run. However you don't want to build them too big otherwise the AI won't attack them, level 5 forts against Germany work really well
@@nevets2371 with entrenchment bonuses from GBP they are good, it’s true, but they are not essential in single player (just one flame tank and few art battalions, more is overkill, also you can bomb forts with tactical bombers, so I think they are meaningless unless it’s El Alamein multiplayer defence! But it’s just my opinion, so no bother
@@egorsgor228 fair enough, I really only build forts in exactly this scenario, defending as the soviets. Mass assault also gives you 5 entrenchment, and the soviets themselves give a few buffs from their focus tree, so that certainly can be playing a part, but I still do think it's the easiest way to get the engineer trait.

Well about communist china joining the allies I've seen that both in my games and on other hoi4 videos. No matter if historical is on that keeps happening

on historical if you have Waking the Tiger, communist China eventually does One China Policy, leaves the united front and restarts the civil war. Because they stay at war with Japan, they will be immediately willing to join any faction that is at war with Japan(usually the Allies, but you can get them in the Comintern if you fight Japan as USSR). The Allied AI will also always invite them for the same reason, putting them at war with China
