Have to say, they've definitely spruced it up rightly. We drank there during the day even when we were teens. I'm surprised you didn't bump into a load of alkies. Then again, it's probably 15 years or close to since i was in the castle grounds.
Hello @Lets walk. I have just subscribed to you! have you ever done a walk in Randalstown? I grew up there, but was taken away to England at 12yrs old, because of the awful troubles. Happy memories & yes some sad too, but Randalstown is forever in my heart.

Randalstown is not far from Antrim town. Regularly visited there. It’s quite and tranquil especially a via duct over the town. Beautiful.
