  • Galibore nature camp, a JLR venture, is located on the banks of river cauvery around 8 kms upstream from Sangama (the confluence of river cauvery and arkavathi). The camp is located in a valley surrounded by tall peaks on both sides and is a great place to relax and unwind in the lap of nature. The activities there include coracle rides, trekking, childern's play area and so on.

    Hi Shreyas, I've been watching some of your videos and some of the paces you have shot bring back memories. I used to ride my Yezdi in the late 80s to many of the jungle areas and camped at the same spot in Galibora whenever we went fishing in the Cauvery. Keep up the good work

      Hi Alan, Awesome to hear u used to fish in the Cauvery river. Just need info, do we need fishing license to catch fish near Sangama, Mekedatu and other closeby river banks. In oRissa and Chennai, there are no such rules but have head diverse opinions from locals

    • @alansdroneproductions
      @alansdroneproductions Před 8 měsíci

      @MRALLKING Yes, you do require to obtain a fishing licence from WASI( Wildlife assoc of South India)

    The funny thing about crocs in the Cauvery is, that they see you, you don’t see them. And you are definitely on their menu.

    • @Shreyas.Ranganath
      @Shreyas.Ranganath  Před 5 měsíci +1

      I am told by locals that these mugger crocs stay away from humans and also there are a lot of fishes in the river to keep them well fed.

      @@Shreyas.Ranganath Be careful though, wild animals are opportunistic. Especially crocs, otherwise they would have not stayed the same for millions of years.
