Hey guys, awesome video...loved it. We're about to hit the Camino in over a month and were keen on getting the right socks. I've checked the Danish Endurance socks and wanted to know what % merino wool do you typically buy for your socks. Many thanks and keep up the great work.
Спасибо за обзор снаряжения! Вы очень классная пара! =) До встречи на Камино!
Thank you for answering me, blessings!

Buen camino
Thanks for this, im leaving in September!
Sure you are going to have a great time, Buen Camino!
Were you able to make your September Camino or did Covid-19 force you to change your plans? I’m doing the Frances in September 2022. I’m guessing I’ll experience warm weather for half and cooler and wet weather for half the time.
@@me-lg1yw yes I walked the Frances September 2019 from SJPDP to Fisterra. Its all on youtube at Dales outdoor adventures if you want to see what my September walk was like.
Great video. What was the name of the backpack? Looks like a great option
What brand of hiking pants did you show for women? Thanks! Loved how compact they were.
Thank you so much ! I have been watching all your videos and they are so helpful . I am doing the Camino Coastal from Porto in May 2020. Do you have any videos or tips for this journey

Love your videos! They are very informative. Just found you guys while researching for my first camino adventure.
Is there an advantage to packing/wearing synthetic clothing vs light cotton or silk clothing? I have sensitive skin and synthetic materials tend to make me itch and give me a very mild rash.
Hi, we prefer synthetic, it dries quick. Cotton absorbs a lot of water, so it dries very slow. If you sweat, you end up hiking in wet clothes and you can be freezing cold if it is windy. We have loads of Camino content on our website stingynomads.com/camino-de-santiago/
you might try light merino clothing - there is lots of choice - even for summer gear
@JudyG745 I think your comment was meant for a different video. Your judgment is not relevant
That was wonderful! Are your sleeping bags down or synthetic fill?
Thank you, on the Camino we use light summer synthetic sleeping bags from Decathlon. Buen Camino!
What is a "long" day? Please share km and approximate timing. What is a short day? Thank you for this amazing video!
Hi, this post should have all the details you are looking for, please let us know if you have any questions Buen Camino

What do you do for hydration? Would you use a water bladder or bottles?
Hello. We carry 1l bottles. And refill them along the way
What did your pack weigh? The 40l, base weight, no food or water..
about 6kg without water
I notice that you carry your water bottle in your pack at the back. I can't reach mine in my side pockets. When walking by yourself do you just stop when you want a drink?
The measurements of a 38L pack exceed what major airlines allow for a carryon. Is this a problem, and assuming the worst case scenario, is putting a backpack in checked luggage a problem?
We check our luggage in 90% of the time and in 10 years of full time travel, doing hundreds of flights, we've had very few problems. You can always wear your hiking shoes and wrap your backpack to ensure you have your shoes and minimize chance of something dissapearing from your luggage. Take valuables/electronics in carry on bag. Buen Camino
Can you tell me what make the backpack is?
Sure, it's Quechua 40l backpack bought in the Decathlon store.
What womens backpack is that? And size? 40?
Hi what’s the name of the back pack or do you have a link where I could find this :) thx Jens
Hi, it is a Quechua MH500 40L backpack from Decathlon. Buen Camino
Why did you weigh the pack? Were you just curious to know its weight, did you have a target weight in mind, or some other reason?
Because we've seen many videos where people claim that their backpacks weigh under 4kg but they end up packing it with far more stuff than we have in ours. We just wanted to show that we don't make up the weight.
@@StingyNomads Awesome. Thanks for reply. :)
what make is the back pack please :)
Quechua, it is the Decathlon brand. Plenty of them all over Spain and Europe. Buen Camino
It's a lovely backpack you're modeling for women, but I do not see that you said what kind of backpack it is. Can you share the brand and model?
It is a Quechua MH500 backpack 40L sold by Decathlon.
@@StingyNomads Thank you!
That 40L pack weights 1.08kg
What about the mans toiletries?
Thanks for watching. Toiletries and electronics were similar, so did not show for both of us.
good video, but when it comes to flip-flops... better don´t go for havaianas! They are heavy as shit! a pair in EU size 41 weighs in at 340grams. If you need them only for the evenings and albergues, cheap foam-flops come in at about only 100grams a pair. just saying.
