Even though I never met Patrice, he's been an influential presence in my life. His words of wisdom about any subject he spoke on would be like no other words I'd ever heard before. He could make sense of anything and do it so beautifully that i realized one day that he was helping to shape the way I see the world today. I try to not get sad thinking about how much we lost when he died, because there are so many things since that i would love to hear what he would've said about it.

His brutal honesty was strangely satisfyingly even when it clashed against your own morals or beliefs. He was a master of his craft and left behind a legacy.
