The vocals at the end are a nod to Dickie Allen from Infant Annihilator, who is a huge supporter of Will. He did the exact same thing on their track “Unholy Gravebirth”

Lorna Shore are blackened deathcore at it's finest. If you like them, check out Mental Cruelty, Worm Shepherd, and The Breathing Process.
I think what I love most about this song is that it is actually musical! The blackened elements provide a nice atmospheric contrast which builds and explodes into the over-the-top symphonic elements and just brutal heaviness. The deathcore chugs are actually interesting and add a cool rhythmic element. The solo is just perfect and their breakdowns aren’t just for show, but actually fit into the lyrical/musical aspect of the song.
This might be the first deathcore record I’m looking forward to this year! (Don’t get me wrong, there’s been some good stuff released this year!)
The new vocalist was certainly a good choice.Not that I disliked the previous one but this guy is pretty good. By the way,this track raped my brain and smashed my tiny balls. I am bleeding now. Love it!

I'm glad someone finally said and mentioned grandeur and how epic the song just FEELS and not just the brutality of it. To me I see this playing in a court of hell. Like if hell had orchestras and was playing for the devil himself or something of that grand allure, like the orchestras playing for the queen and king and it's just a swell of epicness, a huge crashendo. The final epic scene in a movie that makes you forget to breathe while your watching it for example

The snarls are a Dickie Allen thing. I'm not sure if he's the one who invented those vocals, but I feel like he's most well known for them. I enjoyed it.
To my knowledge Dir En Grey would be the ones to possibly invent them in the 90s. Not that it matters, buts what got them known from Japan to the US. But yeah, Dickie kills too.

@@nathanyocum4845 Kyô from Dir En Grey can easily do these same snarls without batting an eye, actually. He is well-known because of them and he has an amazing vocal versatile ability. I might say he’s even better. Uroko is one of their many songs where he displays his range.
@@nathanyocum4845 The pig snarls were first introduced in the 70's, but havent become popular anywhere until metal got heavier. They were done by some local singers around the worlds, but you are right, Dir En Grey were the first to introduce it to the "mainstream".

Mental Cruelty is also a bulldozer playing Beethoven, haha. Their new song "Death Worship" is HEAVY!!! And their closing track "The Left Hand Path" has lots of orchestral elements and it flows so well.

Today, I get suggested this reaction video for Lorna Shore. No surprise, it's the biggest hit in the extreme metal community in a long time and it's been around since early summer.
What should have been my own reaction video was when I saw the thumbnail and thought, "Well, that kitchen looks familiar, so does the one dude... but who's the younger guy? Guest spot?" I click on the video and realize "OH SHIT IT'S THE SAME KID!" Fucking time flies quickly when you're growing jesus H, I'll tell ya hwat.

Breakdown is insanely good and definitely deserves the recognition it gets. But I also need to point out the amazing chorus lol. I feel it gets overshadowed a lot. I think I would have liked to hear one more chorus at the very end.

I love this channel. You can tell they have no clue about metal techniques, which is probably why they feel weird about Will’s “pig sound” before closing the song (something that has been done before by other vocalists as the cherry on top of the cake kind of thing), but these two gentlemen give you a well structured and articulated impression from the audience’s point of view. As musicians, we work for the audience and this content is very helpful to know how people perceive a song, a solo or even the emotions provoked by an especial section. The fact that they take the time to develop a solid argument, although they don’t know the techniques behind any of the stuff they hear, is gold. They always hit the right spot with their own perception and their own words. Musicians study and practice a lot to generate certain emotions through music, and when you hear someone putting the exact intention you had in simple words is like “omfg I did it!”. Not many fans are able to appreciate in detail like this two guys. Keep it up! 🤘🤘🤘🤘

Heaviest breakdown of the decade doesn’t do it justice since the song was released in 2021 maybe the best breakdown since 2000 would be better and it’s hard to argue that
I think the end is good as it is, because it left you speechles. Would it slowly mellow down, you had time to recover. But that just not the way of this song. I think thats an extra point, why this song is so heavy. Its like hitting a wall and you have to figure out, what just happend.

How would you explain that ending to somebody who never listened to deathcore/death metal/grind core..? How do you describe that to someone?
Hey I'm new in this metal genre, just exploring the outer bounderies. I liked your genuine and passionate reaction. Hell of a song. Sound art I would say. It occured to me that there are so few reactions done on Stoner/Doom metal. So I've asked myself why? Is it to slow, to repetitive? Perhaps the genre is to nihilistic? So far I don't have any clue. I think you both are connaisseurs of all genres and maybe know the answer.
Can’t speak for other channels, but we have done plenty of doom, funeral doom and even several stoner metal videos. While stoner is not my fav genre I think overall those genres don’t have click bait bands so therefore drive very little views, that is perhaps a reason you don’t see many channels doing it
