It's a beautiful timber to work with, great shiny finish too.
Thank you very much!
Nice job, beautiful result. And thank you so much for not contaminating your video with a music bed!
Glad you liked it!
Indeed, oak is a beautiful wood. You did a very nice job with it. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thank you 😀👍
Nice little bowl, and I like most hardwoods Inc oak 👍
Thanks 👍
It certainly has a complex grain pattern, really beautiful!
I think so too!
It's almost like two contrasting grains in the oak. I don't know what the white straight marks are caused by, but it looks great. Thanks for the videos😎
Yes, you can't go too far wrong with oak! Thank you for watching.
Great job! Great wood to work with, if you don't mind a little extra sanding,
Big thank you
It’s a pleasure to see the correct use of wood turning tools . Not like some of the rubbish posted where even spindle turning is carried out by scraping with gouges. What’s that all about? Nice job.
Very much appreciated. Thank you 👍
@@RDMWoodturning Your welcome 👍
So, I've been primarily using the swept back (Irish?) grinds on my gouges and I almost exclusively use a 5/8" gouge. BUT, I just bought a nice 1/2" traditional grind (more like yours) and am looking fowrard to testing that out this afternoon...on maple though. As always, thank you so much for everything you show. Your's are really the closest to what I do and I learn so much from watching your videos to fine tune what I do.
Very happy to help. Hope the new gouge is a success!
It's gonna take some getting used to. It's better for getting the bottom of the bowl smoothed out properly though.
Looks great!
Thanks!
Looks top quality 👍
It is!
