  • Today I get to take a ride and record my first ride video on my Kawasaki Vulcan S 650 ABS SE. It is the dead of Winter here in the Mid-Western United States. This is not great riding weather and it is in the lower 40 Degree (F) or 4.4 degres (C). With the 20 mile per hour winds, and highway sppeds I sure do appreciate my heated gloves.
I discuss what it's like riding the Vulcan S, the great features that stand out, and I do a short walk around to show what modifications I have added thus far.
I have ridden Motorcycles for 50 years now, and I am honest about the bike so far. Of course with my past experience in riding this is a great bike for experienced riders that like a sporty crusier and enjoy the wonderful World of 650 class bikes.
The Vulcan S has ample power, and it is not a bike most riders would want to change out anytime soon. And as such it could fit the needs of both experienced and a newer rider. However I do not recommend or endorse that anyone ride a motorcycle, but if you are new I feel it's essential that you first complete an approved Safety Course.
My final verdict is I love this Vulcan S motorcycle way more than I thought I would. Many reviews seem to quote past reviews about features and performance. Come take a fresh and un-biased look at what just might be your next motorcycle. I do suggest you get out to your local dealer and test one if you can!
Thank you for watching, please hit the thumbs up, and while you are at it please subscribe. I appeciate you!

I totally agree with you Fred, a 650cc bike can do it all. I currently own a $37,000 Harley but it is for sale and I want a Vulcan S. I will equip mine with a passenger seat and passenger floor boards for my wife and a windscreen, passenger back rest and luggage rack. I will also buy a round leather bag for the luggage rack to keep our rain suits, a water bottle and other stuff in. I know I will enjoy the Vulcan S for many years to come. Thank you for this video. Ride safe and enjoy every journey.

It is as unique as they come. Doesn't try to be something it's not. Most cruiser bikes try to mimic Harley Davidson way too much. I personally like to be individualistic in most things. I love this bike more & more every single day!

Hi Fred...having got my licence here in Oz 12 months ago - 5 months after turning 60! - this is my much-wanted bike! Like you, the cruiser style sitting position is exactly what my knees need, and with my boy-racer days loooong behind me, the cruising style...in all sense of the term...is what I am looking forward to. Just have to get me one. Thanks for the video - thoroughly enjoyed it!

1969beadie Thank you so much for the great review, and for watching my video! Newer license or not, at our age, it is time for "the time of your life".
Riding is one of the best things in mine. The Vulcan S is absolutely a great machine. It takes my need for speed, and gives me a desire to take more time to enjoy where I'm at on a ride.
However, being a Kawasaki 650, when you need a little speed fix, it's right there "on demand".
I hope you get you bike soon, and hit me up when you do as I'd love to know all about it! Thanks again!
