I bought an X1 sDrive with front wheel drive. I kept it to the most basic version with only heated seats and steering wheel plus park assist. Got it for an eventual sale price price of 29,000 plus tax. To me, this is a car you keep simple. Enjoy the premium feel and live without the sunroof and other little things that honestly I could care less about. It's a fun car, and I'm glad I bought it, but I'd never fill it up with options that frankly don't really translate into a good value.
AGREE, I ordered vehicle and told the internet manager i wanted the basic only-he had to search but they got one! Then they discounted the basic one with three discounts! It had the same engine and looks for 80 CHEAPER price!NEW!
Nice intro! The sun was playing havoc with your exposure, a GoPro mounted on the driver's window pointed at you would have been better, and you could cut to your cameraman's footage for the interior features. Sorry, I watch a lot of car channels and I guess I'm picky. Good overview of the car!
My BMW dealer service associate said, if you want realiabily go and buy Lexus or Toyota or Chevy. Is that true?. I bought BMW X1. Day after the free service is over at 40K mileage dealer said there is oil leakage from the engine. Very disappointed with BMW X1. Very unreliable vehicle as per BMW service associate.

how would you say it compares with your x5 in terms of performace ?
thats great, i wonder what launches faster the x5 or the m5, they both have the same amount of torque however the m5 has it higher up and the x5 has it lower down also the x5 is awd. i personally thought that the x5 launches like a rocket but since you are lucky enough to own both whats your opinion ? thanks
Good to know that a 2 tonne vehicle can launch just as fast as an M5 however its very slow above 70mph.
what do you think the best time to shift on the X5 is ? because peak torque is 2000 rpm and hp is 4000rpm and it feels a bit gutless when it revs to 4500rpm in sport mode

40K for a entry level BMW? The consumer is getting ripped off.
Some can be quite pricey, but when I compare it to a base Honda Civic around 25 grand, it seems justified to me.
