Hartenstein is among a small group of free agent centers this summer (Jonas Valančiūnas, Nic Claxton). Bringing Hartenstein back has been a priority for the Knicks. His re-signing was a factor included in their approach to extension negotiations with Immanuel Quickley. So, I would assume the Knicks and Hartenstein agree on a deal. New York can begin talking to Hartenstein after the NBA Finals.

Anunoby is widely expected to decline his $19.9 million player option for next season after being dealt to New York before the trade deadline. Of note: While league personnel are of the mind Siakam will certainly be re-signing with Indiana, there was word circling among team officials at last week’s NBA Draft Combine that Anunoby’s situation with the Knicks is not as cut and dried. Perhaps those signals to rival teams will only help Anunoby elicit a larger dollar figure from the Knicks. But various teams left Chicago with the belief that Anunoby could reach unrestricted free agency and consider deals from other franchises in addition to New York.

OG is worth $40 million a year.
HOWEVER he plays about 3/4 of the games or less over the last few years. So his salary should reflect that - he gets 3/4 of his value. $30 million.
Anything over $30 million needs to be incentive based. Maybe he can make up to 40 based on games played/performance.

When they traded for him during the season. There was reports that he said he would be willing to take less money in free agency to come to the Knicks. That's the only reason why the knicks gave up Barrett and Quickly cause they knew Og was going sign here. OG wanted New York just as much as New York wanted him.

The knicks shouldn't trade anyone. We good fully healthy. But if we pick up Al horford from Boston As A free agent to strengthen our bench it's A great move. Also if we do any trade, I would trade Mitch Rob because he's injury prone along with Miles Mcbride for Bruce Brown & through in a second round pick if we have too. Bruce & Hart playing together would be great in the second unit.. The second unit would be: Burks at point gaurd, Bruce at the 2, Hart at the 3, Bogdanovic at the Four, & Al Horford & Precious shares the center spot in the second Unit.. We would be so deep..
I personally think Mitchell Robinson, Bogey, and those two first round draft picks are the only pieces expendable for the Knicks.
If IHart develops a 3 pointer this summer( which I think he will) I think he’ll be perfect! His greatest asset in my opinion is his IQ. He’s a smart player and I think he appreciates what the Knicks are building, but in the end it usually comes down to 💵.

Sam Rose is not the main point person for OG. The way CAA works is you have a main point person and then a staff that helps. This is according to Fred Katz of thew Athletic. All in all this is custom to Free agents to at least entertain offers. We really don't know with OG but yes I agree he likely wants to stay and will resign unless another offer is just so great he can't refuse.

They will likely offer that. But if someone else is offering him 5+ more per year that's gonna be hard for him to turn down.
@@LysergiCoyotl I think the $80M over four is a real possibility, but that really is only a difference of $3.75M after taxes over the life of the contract. I really don't think he leaves for that. Not when the Knicks have turned him into the player he is, and he's comfortable here.
$5M more per year would be a $92.5M deal. I'm not sure a team goes that high. $23M per year is a lot for a player like him. If they do, we'll see what happens.
