      @@gardencrossings Thank you for this explanation. May I request that this information be put into any future actual videos, please? As Sophia Spencer (below this comment at this time) mentioned, we followers of Garden Answer are very protective of their account. They have been spammed in the past, so we tend to not trust entities who do not give them credit. We know that they have a business relationship with Proven Winners, because they have said so. Also, because they are so very popular, placing something in the video in the future may prevent this kind of backlash - in which I participated - and rightly so, I think. EDIT: Upon listening closer (and reading some of the other comments) that may be Laura's voice in the voice-over at the end, but it would still be appropriate to actually acknowledge them, in my humble opinion. And, I apologize for the "CZcams robbery" comment. I would delete it, but someone else has already referred to it so I'll own it.

      I think it’s rather sad that so called followers of Laura and Aaron are so “protective” of their channel that a group of people are commenting in mass on a very obvious proven winners partner on a video that Laura clearly is aware of as her own voice is in the video and says the words “garden crossings”. Maybe you should ask yourselves what would Laura do? She is always a picture of Grace even when people ask her about her baby being left home alone. Life is too short, step away from the CZcams comments. (I’m about to go take my own advice).

    People like to just spout their mouth without understanding things. By doing so they may in fact affect other peoples livelihoods. I love it how people just post in here credit this and credit that...Laura and Garden Answer has a partnership with Proven Winners. She does spots for their products, brand and plants. There is no credit needed when it is done in partnership with sponsors. Sponsorships give creatives assignments and material may be used in kind. They get paid for this. Garden Answer makes these videos and when they feature Proven Winner products some of those videos are scooped up by their sponsors for video spot highlights. This is how the industry works...this is how people make a living off CZcams. Please understand the industry before you start bashing legitimate businesses. You may find yourself ruining other peoples livelihoods by making an issue of things when there are no legitimate issues.

      Yes, you can just let them go, however they won't flower after a few years. If you are not growing them for the flowers/berries, and just for the structure then you never have to prune it!

  • @CLC979

    I think it’s rather sad that so called followers of Laura and Aaron are so “protective” of their channel that a group of people are commenting on a very obvious proven winners partner on a video that Laura clearly is aware of as her own voice is in the video and says the words “garden crossings”. Maybe you should ask yourselves what would Laura do? She is always a picture of grace even when people ask her about her baby being left home alone. Life is too short, step away from the CZcams comments. (I’m about to go take my own advice).
    Sorry you are getting so much backlash Heidi. Love your channel, ignore the noise. Hopefully the next time pw releases videos to partners they’ll put a little “Laura from garden answer for garden crossings” title screen or something.
    I hope you’re all writing to Laura to notify her that proven winners uses her photos in their print ads too! Scandalous!

    • @gardencrossings
      @gardencrossings  Před 3 lety

      There isn't anything that super close to this look for zone 9. However, Proven Winners just added a Crapemyrtle to their lineup this year that has the dark foliage and gets large like the Elderberry but has pink flowers. Here is the link: www.gardencrossings.com/product/lagerstroemia-center-stage-pink/
      Or there is one with red flowers. Here is that link: www.gardencrossings.com/product/lagerstroemia-center-stage-red/

      Shame on you for not understanding that Garden Answer makes videos like this for Proven Winners and its' subsidiaries. When folks like you spout like this and don't understand how Garden Answer makes their living...it's not off CZcams. It's off the sponsorships in conjunction with them. You are jeopardizing their relationships with these organizations by shaming their partners for using content that was created and shared for their use.
