The Canucks are built to play against the Oilers. The Oilers are such a different team as far as checking is concerned. The chances for quick breakouts and loosey goosey defence by the Oilers will be key.
I think we'll find that the Canucks moving goalies 1 2 or 3 times laterally before taking the shot will benefit them against any goalie in the league. Vasilevsky and Saros are out. They were the two to be feared that can post to post like Demko. Silovs showed he can post to post as well. I'm thinking it might turn into a high scoring series for both teams.
Gentleman, the goalie Carousel that exists in Van is a blessing in disguise. Game wasn't pretty again, patience is a virtue and the Boys get it done. Sutes sticks with and can't wait to infuriate McDavid and the gang.

Refs always game management against Canucks. Canucks will never win the cup with this rigging. They didn’t call the big z getting checked cause he called the refs out last game.
As an isolated incident, I don't necessarily have a problem with Lindholm penalty. But that's why I hate "game management," even when I'm watching a game that doesn't involve the Canucks. I get that it's the playoffs and refs supposedly want to let the players decide the game. But they ARE deciding the game if they don't have a standard and stick to it. If you want to call the game differently whether it's regular season or playoffs, that's one discussion, but a penalty in the first period should be a penalty in the third period. You can't just put the whistles away for almost the entire game and then suddenly call a penalty randomly with seconds to go in the game. It's clear the officials, whether the league has an outright bias or not, are trying to tighten games artificially rather than letting the players dictate how things go. if one team is trailing in the 3rd period, if anyone is getting a power play, it's them, unless it's totally egregious - and even then, we saw in that game, there were blatant infractions on both sides that weren't called. I'm all for "letting them play," but if you obviously rough someone up in a one-sided altercation or negate a scoring chance, it's a penalty, regardless of the score or the time on the clock. But we've had these discussions going back to the 90s that I can remember, even before the league supposedly "cracked down." In the 90s, teams would adjust their style of play based on who the lead official was. I remember in some of the NHL video games I played, you could choose what style of referee you wanted. So this has been a longstanding issue and I don't think the problem has been solved in any way.
Great series. Rick right away with the doomer vibe going into EDM. Would the Kings have been better? They’re all good teams at this stage but they all have their weaknesses.
These playoffs have shown Hronek isn’t worth close to what he’s asking for. I would Rather use 8.5 million to give Big Z 4 years at 4.75 and resign Meyers for 3.25-3.75. We have Willander coming up who can most likely be a better option the. Hronek in less then 3 years

Man I didn’t realize how much I missed hearing him call highlights…not just canucks games, any game listening to him is perfect.
