I think they should keep both, especially for no build mode. Fortnite's meta has usually revolved around the building, but in a mode without it, a larger gun pool allows for the meta have a broader range

I am an OG, but I quit after C2S4 and when I tried all the guns I missed in creative during C3S1, the combat was my favorite and I wanted it to return Sooooo badly. My most desired gun. Let’s vote combat and help my dream come trueeeee
The Combat was fun before and now even more so that the recoil was lowered. I don't really mind either way, I was happy with the loot pool this season.
I’m going for the combat this time and here’s why:
1. We already have 2 scoped ARs this season, adding in the MK would make it our 3rd scoped ar.
2. Despite having mostly the same stats as each other, the combat actually does one extra damage than the MK
3. Apparently the combat is supposed to feel better to use than the MK.
4. The combat has much more satisfying sounds than the MK ngl.
What's the two scoped ars in the game? I only remember there being the striker burst ar

The mk7's damage has been nerfed significantly since the blue mk7 used to hit for 22s and now its hitting for 20s
the mk is better, sypher is just used to the burst and the mk gets way better then the rest the higher the rarity.

The MK7 used to have the same damage as the combat AR where the gold did 25 damage, but now the damage is nerfed. I'm not too sure about nerfing the combat AR's damage that much, but imo, I've always loved the combat AR, so I'll be voting for that. I've already used the MK7 so much, and its recoil wasn't that bad, but with it being nerfed, and the burst and thermal ARs being so strong, it's just not it anymore. Its recoil needs to be toned down.

Definitely going to go for the combat, not because of the damage but because it has no red dot, if the mk, the burst, and the thermal were in the game at the same time, it would be incredibly hard to do anything without getting shredded to peices, it would definitely be much more balanced with the combat.
What epic could do is if the MK wins, they could give the foundation his mythic MK, and if the combat wins the foundation could get a mythic combat AR.

Dude the combat, as shown in the video, is garbage. Legendary vs. Uncommon and the difference between the damages was 3. The MK-7 is painted in a bad light here because I think Sypher is a bit biased because he used a green MK-7 when he could have upgraded it but he upgraded the combat to make it seem better. Also, he said he died because of the MK-7 but he died to the storm, he blamed it on having to fight people but that isn’t the MK-7’s fault. He could have shockwaved out of every fight (like he did when he used the combat) to avoid damage but he didn’t.

idk if its just me but the couple times I picked up the combat AR yesterday while I was playing, it felt like it had a ridiculous amount of recoil. I think even after the nerf I still prefer the MK, it just feels better and I trust myself more with it. Probably still gonna run the AUG most of the time though in the no build mode.

I noticed the difference when it came out the combat zooms in faster does more damage as a gold is easier to control. I have been trying to convince all my friends to vote for the combat because it’s just better even without the red dot plus when attachments come in you can just get one

The combat did get a significant change to its recoil. I remember playing with it yesterday and I noticed how it wasn’t so ridiculous in recoils like it was in c2,s8. Plus, landing shots feels more consistent now with the recoil being reduced and the fact I can actually hit people from a farther distance now. The MK is just not it anymore, that damage is just as bad as the stinger smg’s current state.

The Hog Rider card is unlocked from the Spell Valley (Arena 5). He is a quick building-targeting, melee troop with moderately high hitpoints and damage. He appears just like his Clash of Clans counterpart; a man with brown eyebrows, a beard, a mohawk, and a golden body piercing in his left ear who is riding a hog. A Hog Rider card costs 4 Elixir to deploy.

When he is jumping over the river, he cannot be targeted by any ground attacking units. The Log and Earthquake will fail to damage a Hog Rider while he is jumping. Air troops can still attack him though, and the Inferno Tower and Inferno Dragon will continue to ramp up their damage.
When countering Hog Riders, obviously use buildings. But be wary as it the offender would usually play around it with cards such as Earthquake. Air swarms such as Minion Horde can help due to the Hog's usual support tools not countering them.
On the offender's side, a powerful move is to accompany him with an Earthquake, obilerating almost every building, and also grounded swarms. To a lesser extent, Lightning could also be used, retaining the same point of almost destroying every building while also crippling troops such as the Wizard or the Hunter.
The Log could also be an effective first play as a cycle, but it only kills swarms and sometimes a non-center-placed Tombstone.
The Hog Rider can be paired with the Lumberjack as both a swarm bait and damage combo. It is a very fast combo with an extremely high damage output potential, so the defender will likely try to counter it with a swarm. If this happens, the offender should use a spell like Arrows to render the defender poetically defenseless. If they manage to defeat the Lumberjack, the dropped Rage will make the Hog Rider even more dangerous than it normally is.
A fast and deadly combination is the Hog Rider and Mini P.E.K.K.A. combo. Both units are fast but the Mini P.E.K.K.A. does much more damage and does not attack only buildings so the Mini P.E.K.K.A. can deal with troops like the Executioner and Musketeer. However, this combo can be defeated with swarms like Skeleton Army, which will defeat both of them since neither of them can deal area damage. They are also unable to target air troops, so the Minion Horde can stop this easily.
A Hog Rider combined with a Goblin Barrel can be awkward for the opponent to defend against. Timing it so that the Hog Rider is tanking the tower shots for the Goblins is the most effective way to deal damage.
A Barbarian Barrel can shut this down with minimal Tower damage for a positive Elixir trade, as long as the Goblin Barrel was placed directly on the Tower. Use another card to counter the Hog Rider if it is necessary.

His fast move speed can boost forward mini tanks like an Ice Golem in a push. At the same time, he can also function as a tank for lower hitpoint troops such as Goblins as he still has a fair amount of health. However, the Hog Rider struggles with swarms, as they can damage him down and defeat him quickly while obstructing his path. Barbarians in particular can fully counter him without very strict timing on the defender's part, though they are vulnerable to spells.
Use this to your advantage by placing a bulky swarm dealer in front of the Hog Rider (eg. Ice Golem, Valkyrie) so that the Hog Rider can transport it to the tower faster and also get protection from swarms.
Most cheap swarms complement the Hog Rider well, as they are nearly as fast as him and usually force more than one card out of the opponent's hand.
The Hog Rider in conjunction with the Freeze can surprise the opponent and allow the Hog Rider to deal much more damage than anticipated, especially if the opponent's go-to counter is a swarm, or swarms are their only effective counter to him. Skeletons and Bats will immediately be defeated by the spell, while Spear Goblins, Goblins, and Minions will be at low enough health to be defeated by a follow up small spell.
Against non-swarm troops, it can deal a lot of damage during the freeze time, but this can allow the opponent to set up a massive counterpush. For this reason, players should either only go for a Hog Rider + Freeze when they have other units backing it up from a counterattack, or if the match is about to end and they need to deal as much damage as possible. The exception to this is an Elixir Collector placed in front of the King's Tower. If a Hog Rider placed at the bridge, he can destroy the Collector for a positive Elixir trade, though the damage from both Princess Towers will usually mean he does not survive to deal any damage to them. However, if the opponent sends in defending troops, it can be an opportunity to gain spell damage value.
It is obviously not a good idea to send in a Hog Rider simply to destroy a building, especially if it is the only building targeting unit available, as defeating Crown Towers becomes substantially more difficult. Spells or simply waiting out the lifetime of the building are more effective.
When there are buildings placed in the middle to counter the Hog Rider, understanding the placement of the Hog Rider and the type of building placed can help the Hog Rider to bypass certain buildings.
Passive buildings such as spawners have a larger hitbox than defensive buildings; which means that if a passive building was placed 3 tiles away from the river in the middle of the opponent's side, then it is impossible for the Hog Rider to bypass that placement as the Hog Rider will get pulled to that building.
The Hog Rider can kite Very Fast non-building targeting troops due to his own Very Fast speed and building only targeting if he is placed on the fourth tile from the bridge, slightly into the opposite lane. He can also stall grounded units when placed right at the bridge. He will pull them towards him while deploying, and then be untargetable by them when he jumps over the bridge. After landing, he will pull them back. This can be useful when the player needs to deal damage in the same lane they are defending. It will also help separate troops behind a tank in a large push.

After trying them out, it feels a bit more tricky to decide between the two. The MK damage drop off is brutal. I think at long range, both work better tap firing than full spraying, so while they aren't comparable the the burst or thermal at range, they can still work for 3 shot bursts before recoil becomes too uncontrollable. The combat has no damage drop off, but has first shot accuracy (which is more of an issue with strafing) and without the red dot, I would say the recoils is a lot harder to control at long ranges since you aren't as zoomed in and it jumps around more because of it, on top of being harder to see as far. Both will be out performed by the burst through. That said, I think they both have effective ranges and the combat can be used a bit better as an SMG at close ranges in a pinch, but can also shred in the 75m-100m range. The MK ease of controlling the MK recoil at full auto doesn't feel like it factors in until the 150m+ range where the combat falls apart, but even then the burst or thermal will be more effective and both the combat and MK would be better tap firing at those ranges. I think the combat feels more rewarding to control the recoil with the damage and sound. The MK is probably the popular choice with the red dot scope which probably makes it "easier" to use (or at least feels more intuitive for casual players), but the damage currently feels very underwhelming.
I think the combat is the better choice since it pairs well with the burst as and SMG replacement as well as pairing strongly with the combat SMG for dominating the short, medium to long ranges. The MK doesn't fill the same SMG role, especially with the scope, and in the no-build meta where longer range fights are more common, it's tough to recommend an MK as the all-purpose long range AR. That being said, it does fill out the medium range better than the burst or thermal to me, which has been this season's weakest range with the ARs. It's been where the combat SMG has shined more, but getting from the 50m-75m range, the recoil and bloom is a bit too much to be really effective so it becomes a gamble of what gun to use in that range; a more accurate thermal and burst or even ranger (which will struggle the closer you get to your opponent) or a combat SMG (which has the fire rate to overtake those at close range, but the farther you are the less effective it is).

Literally you will sacrify landing shots AND accuracy for... 1 dmg? Which btw Let me tell you landing headshots with MK7 Is easier than combat which both have a +10 on the head meaning an average rare MK will do 30 dmg per shot since they would be headshots most of the time while combat will do 21 dmg per shot and if you're lucky handle perfectly it's recoil/good eye for mid range without the zoom you like It or not helps also yo land more shots 31 dmg

The reason why I’m voting the combat is because it feels like whenever the mk is in the game NO other gun is used and then the gunplay becomes bland and boring kind of like the end of the last season. I do like the mk better than the combat since the last time I used them but like I said before as long as the mk is in the game most other guns will not be used.

MK7 was gradually nerfed. It is still good, but as Sypher was saying the, Aug is better than it. I would still hold an Combat smg, or an Aug over the MK7, it wouldn't be used every time.

The combat, I feel, is a good gun for those rangers where they are too close for the burst, but far enough to use the combat smg. Definitley going to be my new 3rd weapon along with the burst and combat smg.
I'm watching this from chapter 3 season 2. I can't wait to see the next season, I'd like to believe IO would make a machine to attempt to end the loopers. The machine would be called "mass destruction" sending waves of energy to destroy the loopers. It would be cool if The Origin absorbed energy while Jones and The Foundation attacked the machine. Slone and Jones could fight and Jones would win by sending slone threw the loop. Jones would search for the best fighters known to mankind. The Foundation guarding the ship would finally meet Geno or the Generation One of the seven. Geno would search for fighters too and succeed creating the next season.
I didn't expect such an MK-7 nerf but I really think people should reconsider their votes over this weekend because I believe that one vote wrong can destroy this season's reputation whilst causing a split in the community because we've seen it happen in season 8 with the Combat SMG and AR.
*My vote goes to the Combat AR because I was in both Creative and Team Rumble and also Solos and I lasered people while doing much higher DPS with the Combat AR.*

The burst AR has always had a lot more damage but now you also got to account the builds game mode. The mk is way better than the burst when in the builds game mode. The combat only is the mk but not in red dot. Also what else could you expect. You love the burst and have gotten used to it. And the it got upgraded with a red dot sight.
Honestly after messing with both of the rifles I’m still torn on which to vote for but I’ve definitely noticed that the striker is kinda absurd. It’s damage output is ridiculous compared to all of the other ARs especially given it’s accuracy.

My go to set up is burst-combat smg-drum-mini shields/chug splash- and either cowcatcher, impulse, or c4.
I feel that the Mk7 or combat would work better in the build modes but the Burst is the best in no builds. Who needs a sniper with the burst?
To hit long-range shots with the combat ar, you need to keep taping your mouse
I feel like in the build mode, the mk-7 will be the better assault rifle to pick up but in no -builds, the striker burst or thermal should be your go to. I hated the combat. It is strong but too much recoil after every shot. The mk-7 has only recoil which makes it easier and if you can hit your shots you can do a lot of damage.

Use the mk in regular pubs where there is no over shield and u’ll see how much more useful it is

maybe, but then the whole meta changes. suddenly, the Thermal goes from a ehh, okay gun to a trash one,
also, in no builds, the AUG works better as it has more chance of getting through someone's overshield
2:19 to 2:22 is a great example of how the mk would destroy the no build mode, VOTE COMBAT!

Yeah he actually miss shots with the combat compared to MK hahaha, even with the Nerf MK7 Is still stronger on performance despite having "less damage" which it's literally -1 compared to combat
Thing is the burst the thermal snipers and MKs are all scoped for long range i feel we need the combat for mid to close range no scipe to zoom into and probably better hip fire so the combat fills a gap just now that the MK will not
the combat is also better in a box. its basically an smg that can also do pretty good long range damage.

It would be nice if players just allowed a new gun to shine. Just used to using whatever gets them kills and wins rather than having versatility in different situations. Remember when they voted for the nerfed drum gun back and it wasn't all that? Me too.
