I’ve enjoyed a Permeability on an Indebted Kindness with Gyrfalcons on void hunter - goes from arc to void every dodge and gets volatile/overshields etc

How are you getting overshields with no repulsar brace I get the volitile rounds?
@@s1lentcalib3r Using Gyrfalcons grants overshield when finishing a target. Its not specific to Indebted Kindness
@@inton3884 oh ya I forgot about that part of the exotic. You don't actually get an overshield on every finish its a reserve overshield on next dodge and only while you finished while already invis but I get what you mean.
Permeability/Onslaught is the one combo that’s been eluding me this entire season I hate it here 😭

They both need a 5 second decay while stowed that reactivates it if re-equipped. It would help with Bait and switch certain play styles like Ceno lock that cycle guns a lot.
It’s probably shining a lot right now with permeable on the indebted kindness, that’s a great weapon and handy with that perk.
Yeah, I do think people would be more open to them if bungie tweaked them a bit, like you said, adding a 5-second decay when stowed. Although for the builds I'm running, they seem to proc pretty passively since I'm using those often anyway. But for DPS situations, it's not as good for sure.
@@AceInTheSpade I suppose there has to be some hard tradeoff that Bungie thinks is ok, like you pointed out this perk will follow any meta with the artefacts.
Infact I’d be happy to consolidate the two perks and have it proc from any ability giving it extra up time. Having an extra shield breaking method when locked gear is on is really nice though. Arc boomer knights for example are always a pain.

I was going to disregard this video as "recapping what most people already know", but you got me thinking about the Indebted Kindness I run on my main Behemoth build. I use Precious Scars as the exotic Armor (Highly recommend for my other cool ranch titans until we get that stasis rework) and one of the main problems with the build is that once I swap to Kindness I can deal with orange bars way easier but at the cost of my survivability. If I swap Attrition Orbs for Permeability I'd likely make just as many orbs but also have a much better chance of staying alive in GMs.

Glad to help! Honestly, this was the whole point of videos like this. To get people to think a bit outside the box. Mission accomplished! And yes, permeability works great for fragments that give more orbs.
Man FINALLY someone talking about how good osmosis/permeability are. I think they've flown under the radar because osmosis was not good per 3.0 subclasses, but now that you can benefit from radiant, volatile rounds, unravelling rounds, ionic traces, (here's where my stasis benefit would be if I had one), it's essentially a damage perk because of the synergies. I have a Lodbrok-C with osmosis and adrenaline junky. Disgustingly potent combo on an unfortunately lackluster archetype
100% agree. I think it's because you lose the buff when switching weapons that turned people off. But our abilities are so fast to get back, and we're using them all the time it's rather passive now to proc them without much thought.
I only wish bungie wasn't afraid to let shit really pop off. The problem is its always in a column with the other good perks. Imagine perm and incandescent wild style on a strand subclass unraveling making threading and scorching. Or imagine the dungeon pistol with perm and voltshot on a strand subclass same thing while jolting.
Well, permeability is often more on column 3 on most primaries. But yeah, it should only be on column 3 imo. Be wild.
@@AceInTheSpade nah you make a great point, I typically run my Lodbrok with Controvers Hold so my grenade comes back basically instantly. Pairs good with sun bracers too, and the Lodbrok's extra range is great when you're up in the air like that

It's nice to see Osmosis and Permeability getting love. Subclass 3.0 absolutely elevated these perks and people sleep on them. I run a Timelost Fatebringer with Osmosis and Firefly and it's nutty how well it fits into any element build I put together.

Disagree. I've used the roll of Ros Arago with Permeability and Onslaught in pinnacle content. Being able to make it strand to synergize with builds is underrated.
This perk is also great with weapons like Traveler’s chosen, and others that compliment multi-elemental builds. Such as exotics that can change their element type. Makes you even more adaptable. Especially in endgame PvE, that calls for adaptability and fast reactions.

One of my favorite guns this season has been Fatebringer with osmosis/firefly so I can get some kinetic slot synergy with solar and free up my energy slot for a damage dealer. Permeability has been another awesome tool to add to my wacky arsenal
Ohh that sounds like a spicy combo.
Try said Fatebringer with a Volatile Rounds build. LOTS of explosions. Hell, my Arc build is built around my weapons and abilities spitting orbs and Ionic Traces. Arc Fatebringer just helps with the generation.
@@zdude0127 I have used it on my gryfalcon and contraverse build and can confirm it's really cool. Haven't used it on arc but I'll definitely try it, my arc build I really like is chromatic fire and Crimson, blinding arc explosions and each kill heals you.
@@MSK-o1n I run Geomag Stabilizers and as much orb generation and Ionic Trace generation as possible. It's nuts how much ability uptime I have.
These perks would be much better if you can combo them with incandescent, voltshot, or kinetic tremors and still be able to do what you said in the video. Imagine a solar auto rifle with permeability and incandescent then you use your clas ability to switch to strand now you have a gun that can spread scorch and severing. Wayy more fun imo
Absolutely. This is one reason I made this video because you might start to see those combinations in the future, especially in final shape as they appear on more weapons.

If they added combos like this then it would be pretty insane n possibly meta defining so I could definitely see it happening in the final dlc for the saga so I agree and i really hope it happens. I do think we are so close to reaching that

problem is just like osmosis is that you're punished for switching weapons. ig it's good if you're reserving special ammo for boss dmg when you run out of heavy...
Yeah, but you're already using your abilities a ton, likley's always. I do think adding a 5 second timer to switch back without losing it would help though.
I’m confused as to how Osmosis / Perm have ‘synergy’ aside from them doing a similar thing and having a similar icon. They don’t work ‘together’
I wouldnt over think it. The point is they are working together to match your loadouts and utilize the same subclass elements, verbs, and fragments just by passively using abilities.

Permeability and the rocketsidearm is actually disgusting with my gerfalcons build I'm pretty sure its the best ad clear gun in the game and it was the first roll I got never farmed the dungeon afain after that

Recommend trying it on ros arago with onslaught on strand. I think it could change your mind.
If only Ros Arago could drop, the last one i saw was more than 2 months ago my RNG is cursed.
You can grind it directly via lost legendary lost sectors. Just check todayindestiny.com just click on the lost sector of the day, and at the bottom, it will show you what weapons will drop.
You can do triple Strand or Stasis with tessellation. But yea permeability is a legit perk.

I would like to add in that utilizing Permeability and Osmosis would allow you to free up the exotic slot.
I use permeability attrition orbs on parabellum and it’s filthy

If your new to the game i guess its an ok perk. If not there is no reason to ever use this perk. Use a different gun instead of sacrificing an actually good perk? Lol.
Disagree. Clearly, you didn't pay attention. There are no strand and stasis energy weapons, and you wouldn't be able to use powerful kinetic slots like scatter signals when running strand if you want that synergy in each slot.
